Philip

My smirk was so wide I couldn't contain it. So perfect!

The energy in the room was thick with anticipation. Eyes gleamed, glasses clinked, and I could practically taste the tension hanging in the air. These people didn’t just want the estate—they wanted the prestige, the bragging rights that came with it.

So did I. I wasn’t here to play nice; I was here to win.

“The starting bid is 200 million dollars…” the auctioneer announced, his voice echoing through the hushed room. A collective gasp rippled through the crowd, and my smirk only deepened.

Oh, this was too good. Did they think this was going to be easy? Ha.

Before he could even finish his sentence, paddles shot up—one after another. The bids were coming fast, 250 million, 320, 350. I glanced across the room at Sebastian, my eyes narrowing. His face was calm, almost detached. No surprise there. He always kept his composure. But what about Olivia? Where was she? Did she get sick of him already? Good. I hoped she did.

Sebastian“Congratulations once again, Mr. Lancaster!”Everyone kept congratulating me as I walked Olivia to the car. She clung to me—clearly drunk—and even though the gala hadn’t ended, I was done. The night felt like it had dragged on for hours. Every person, every conversation, every flash of a camera had become nothing but noise and fleeting images in my mind. Olivia was the only one that held my attention tonight, she rarely attended social events with me so tonight was special in every way. I could still see flashes from the cameras, but as we drove farther, the lights faded, and it was just us.I looked over at Olivia, who seemed half-asleep, her head resting against my chest. She was beautiful, even in that state. Her blond locks, once neatly pinned in a sophisticated updo, had fallen free and framed her face in soft, effortless waves. I couldn’t resist—gently, I swiped a few stray strands from her face, tucking them behind her ear.Eventually, she lifted her head, her dazed e

  • Dear Husband, My Turn To Love You    Chapter 24

PhilipThe scene made my gut clench like I'd swallowed broken glass. So I looked away disdainfully and moved through the crowd instead, looking for Kaylee who'd slipped away to leech on someone else. The clink of glasses, the subtle scent of expensive cologne, and the soft classical music playing in the background grated on my nerves. Drawing closer, I spotted her laughing and talking with some guy who looked like a sleazy douche raised with a silver spoon. His stupid gelled-back hair, fake tan, and polished shoes screamed mommy’s money. Most of the people at this gala inherited their family’s wealth. They’ve never worked a day in their lives.I tapped Kaylee on the arm. She turned, her smile still perfectly in place like it had been surgically attached.“Mr. Amos, please excuse me,” she said, flashing him a bright smile.I pulled her through the crowd and into a corner, away from the glittering chandeliers and fake compliments.“What the hell was that, Phillip?! That was Amos Markus

PhilipWe’ve got just ten minutes,” I whispered, pulling her in from the hallway and into the dimly lit room. The door slammed behind us with a hollow thud, swallowing the outside noise. Shadows clung to the corners of the room, the air thick with tension and lust, humming like an electric current between our bodies.I pushed her hard against the wall, my hand already sliding up her thighs and under her dress. The feel of her skin against my palm sent a bolt of heat straight to my core. She moaned like the wicked little thing she was. I liked that sound—it made every second count. Her voice was thick with lust and desire, the exact fuel I needed. She knew exactly what she was doing to me—and God, did I enjoy it.Grabbing her chin harshly, I kissed her—deep, messy, aggressive. Our mouths clashed, teeth grazing, breath hot and frantic. She tasted like trouble and sweet surrender, and I wanted every last drop of her.Her blouse was open in seconds, tits spilling into my hands. I squeezed

OliviaMy eyes fluttered open as golden light spilled into the room like honey, sliding across the silk sheets and kissing my bare skin with warmth. I turned to face Sebastian, who slept peacefully beside me. His eyes were still closed, his face relaxed—he looked so calm, no blemishes or those marring scars lingering on his face like it had when I'd damaged his face. I couldn’t resist reaching out to touch him.My fingers traced along his soft skin; it was smoother than silk. My breath caught as I took in the sight—his thick lashes resting against his cheeks, that sharp jawline, and the subtle rise and fall of his chest. He looked even more handsome while he slept, and the sight alone brought a warm smile to my lips.Olivia, you are one lucky girl. I mean, just look at the man! That face? Sinfully beautiful. And mine. God must’ve had a weak moment when he handed me this man.I brushed my fingers against his ears. He let out a low groan, eyes still closed. “Don’t stop now,” his voice l

Olivia"You know this isn’t necessary, right? I can walk."A bright grin broke out, and his whole face lit up with laughter. His eyes crinkled at the corners, and for a moment, I forgot everything else.I held onto him as he walked up the stairs… of our home, to our room. His steps were strong and steady, and I could feel the faintest bounce in his stride, like he was proud of carrying me—like I was precious cargo and not a woman who hadn't showered in days."I know you can, but I chose to carry you—because I can, and I'm your husband, so I have every right to." Sebastian said, a soft pout forming at the corners of his mouth. It was the cutest damn thing I'd ever seen and made me want to poke his cheek just to see if he’d bite.I kept my head tucked into the curve of his neck, breathing him in. Warm skin. Crisp soap. That soft expensive cologne he always wore—the kind that smelled like power and storms and safety. And I smelled like... hospital. Bandages. Antiseptic. Shame. He should

Sebastian“Olivia... Olivia!"She was out cold on the floor. The sight knocked the air clean out of my lungs. My heartbeat spiked, racing against the time I suddenly didn’t have. One second stretched into an eternity as I stood frozen, the world around me falling into a suffocating silence that screamed louder than anything I’d ever heard. In that moment, a thousand thoughts raced through my mind, tripping over each other in a chaotic blur—but none screamed louder than pure, searing confusion. What the hell had happened to her?Was this Philip? What did he do to her? Why wasn’t anyone—anyone—in the goddamn mansion to help her? This place always felt like it was overflowing with people when I needed quiet. Now, when I needed someone—anyone—it was a graveyard.Did he find out she was spying on him?Fuck, I just got her back. I just held her, kissed her, heard her voice—and now this?I stared at her unconscious body lying so still on the cold marble floor, her dark hair fanned around her

  • Dear Husband, My Turn To Love You    Chapter 19

OliviaWas what I did stupid? Yes.Was it necessary though? Also yes. When Kaylee dropped me off, I immediately started to make my way upstairs. It took about two hours for the poison to start taking effect, and I had a couple of minutes left. The fact that Kaylee thought I didn’t know she added something to my drink shows how much they underestimated me. That was good.I'd remembered this exact same scenario happening in my past life, only now she poisoned me much sooner than expected. She must be desperate.Back then, Kaylee did the same thing. Whenever I left a drink and came back, or whenever she brought me one, it always had a funny smell. But I never gave much thought to it, seeing that she was like a sister to me and all that bullshit. Now, looking at it from this perspective—that was when it hit me. It wasn’t just the beating or the malnourishment in that warehouse that made me unable to move. The weakness I felt... my nerves refusing to respond, even with all my willpower. I

  • Dear Husband, My Turn To Love You    Chapter 18

KayleeOlivia took us to The Golden Fork, one of the most expensive and luxurious restaurants in New York—always packed to the brim like a glass of overpriced champagne. It was the kind of place with gold-rimmed glasses, violin music floating in the air, and waiters who acted like royalty serving royalty. A reservation here was practically myth. You’d have to sell your soul—or marry rich. Naturally, Olivia had found her way in.“Oh my God, this is beautiful!” I gushed, eyes wide, pretending to be thrilled while the sparkle in my voice rang just false enough. “I’ve always wanted to come hereee.”But not with her. Definitely not with her.“It took me a couple of days to get this reservation, but Sebastian made it happen,” she added, rolling her eyes like Sebastian was the human equivalent of a paper cut.We got to the table, and the servers didn’t waste a second. Like clockwork, they began rolling out the food—steam wafting from the dishes like edible perfume. My eyes flicked sideways
