Olivia

“Stop… stop…” I wheezed through my laughter, squirming as he tickled me mercilessly for calling him Sir Lancaster, the noble savior of damsels in distress.

“Shhh, we’re in a hospital,” he whispered, eyes darting around like someone might catch us committing a felony.

“Maybe you shouldn't be tickling a patient then,” I whispered back, trying to stifle another laugh that still escaped, warm and giddy from my chest.

Silence settled upon us for a moment, but not the awkward kind. The kind that buzzed softly with comfort. He just watched me.

“What?” I asked, heart fluttering from the weight of his stare.

“Nothing,” he shook his head, but there was something in his gaze—something so annoyingly tender it made me want to scream and cry at the same time.

“Liar.”

“You are beautiful, Olivia. Not just that—you’re so special.”

It felt like my heart was going to explode out of excitement. Not from nerves, not from pain. Just from him. Just from those words.

I sat at the edge of the hospital

Olivia"Mom, can we go now?" I grumbled, splaying out across the plush velvet couch of the boutique like a sulking teen, arms folded and patience thinning by the second as my mother spun into yet another round of dress trials."What's your problem, Olivia? It's not my fault you don’t have good taste in fashion... anymore, that is," she said playfully, popping her perfectly styled head out from behind the curtains with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes."For your information, dearest mother, I am a secret model," I told her, the truth slipping past my lips like a joke. There was no way she’d believe me—so naturally, we both laughed it off."How are things with you and Sebastian going?""Perfectly," I replied with a dreamy sigh, my lips curving as my thoughts trailed to him. God, that man had no right being that addictive."I told you he would come around."I rolled my eyes, dramatically. "Yes, Mother. You’re always right.""Hey, Mom?""Yes, baby?" she replied, her tone softer now."You

SebastianA knock at the door cut into Mark’s presentation on the company’s new acquisition."Come in," I said, lifting my head from the documents on my desk. My mind had been deep in numbers and logistics, but I snapped out of it fast the moment I heard those heels clicking against the hardwood.Stella walked in with a pathetic look on her face, the kind of fake innocence she wore like cheap perfume—trying too hard, clinging too tight."Tony said you wanted to see me," she said, her voice barely audible, meek like she was trying to play the victim in a show she directed.Mark subtly dipped his head and left the office in silence. Smart man—he knew this wasn’t going to be pretty."Sit, Stella," I gestured toward the chair in front of me. She looked tense, shoulders stiff, like she expected a firing squad instead of a conversation. I made sure my tone was polite enough to lull her into a false sense of calm."How is Olivia?" she asked. "What happened to her was so bad..." Her voice tra

Olivia"Ow..." I croaked, my throat dry as sandpaper. Every inch of my body felt like it had been through a meat grinder. My skin ached, my bones throbbed, and even blinking felt like punishment.Slowly, I opened my eyes. The reflection of lights was blinding, sterile white beams slicing through my already pounding head. I blinked through the haze, trying to make sense of the bland white walls and the faint beep-beep of the monitors beside me. I looked around, and obviously, I was in the hospital. The memory of how I fell into that pile of glass flashed through my mind. The way the broken pieces pierced my skin, the pain was excruciating. I couldn’t believe Stella actually did that to me. Like, she really went there? Shoved me into a table full of glass like we were in some telenovela fight scene. As I tried to remember the details, a sharp pain shot through my head. The room was empty as I groggily scanned it, the sterile coldness creeping into my bones, and sadness filled my heart—

Sebastian I reached for her, my hand already around her waist, her breath hitching just slightly, but before I could guide her away, her heel caught on something. It happened in a flash, her body pitched forward. I moved, fast—faster than I should have needed to—but not fast enough.“Olivia!” I growled, just as she stumbled. Her ankle twisted, her leg buckling. I saw the exact moment she lost balance. She went down hard. Her body slammed into the table behind her, and the sound that followed was brutal. Glass exploded. Champagne spraying like a damn fire hydrant, soaking her and everything around her. The crowd gasped, horrified, but I couldn’t even hear them. My blood roared too loud.I was already beside her, crouched low before the glass had even stopped settling. She wasn’t moving. Her skin was wet—slick with champagne, but also streaked with red. Cuts. Fucking cuts.I reached for her, hands shaking despite myself, brushing glass aside like it was nothing. Her face was turned aw

OliviaI’ve known agony before—the kind that scorched through me when I was left to burn alive in that warehouse. The smoke choked me like invisible hands sucking the life out of me. I had begged for a quick death. But the pain I felt then was nothing compared to what I feel now. I felt numb to everything except the ache in my chest.I sat on a chair facing the balcony of my room, wrapped in an oversized hoodie. I crossed my legs, my hands resting on them as I watched the trees. They looked so peaceful, swaying with the wind, untouched by worry. Their branches danced under the gentle kiss of the breeze. It’s been two weeks. I haven’t seen or heard from Sebastian. I couldn’t feel anything anymore—I was just exhausted.Emotionally bankrupt. It was all my fault. I should have just told him. I was so focused on getting back at Philip that I eventually destroyed the most beautiful thing I had.Tons of agencies reached out, wanting me on their runways. I stayed silent. Soon, the internet w
