Chapter 36
I doubled up the recipes I was supposed to learn today, only because Lucas wasn't home and I was passing out my time. Lara also had a nice time teaching me to make foreign dishes, and I think I'm getting the hang of cooking. Or at least I was until she brought up Collins smoked mackerel croquettes. Somehow, the kitchen always has every ingredient needed for anything.
I dipped my hand into the pocket on my apron and relaxed against the counter. The weather was cooling up these days but I could still feel a sweat roll down my back.
"Just one more recipe and we're done Ma'am" Lara said and I rolled my eyes. Ellie trotted into the with Harry holding his leash. Since I read on the news about me yesterday, I didn't think it was a good idea going out so much so I couldn't walk Ellie.
