My uncle’s men drag me across the estate to a part where I’ve never been before. We go down an incline of steps, then come to a basement door that was padlocked. Dimitri walks forward and pulls a key from his back pocket to open it. Then we walk in and I stumble and fall. But Lev, Dimitri’s soldier, caught me before I hurt myself.
Hyperventilating, I look around the room and see a bed on the far end, with an en-suite toilet. It looked recently renovated.
“Leave us,” Dimitri barks and his soldiers leave, with only him and Matteo left in the room.
