"Look who's back."
The mocking voice belonged to her little sister. Well, not exactly a sister by blood, but a sister by sect. In the world of immortals, everyone went by the code. One must never trust the word of the mouth. It never reflected the true intentions of their heart.
"We agreed not to mess with the mortals. Yet, you indulged with them from time to time."
The goddess ignored her. Her green, long flowy gown swished with her elegant movements.
"Sheia is right. You broke our codes today and warned the immortal," her brother, the real brother by blood Eris came to her support. The scar on his left cheek stretched with the smile that didn't reach his eyes.
Gaia smiled. "Eris! Long time no see." Her fake enthusiasm earned a scowl from him.
"We aren't friends." His muscular arm tightened on the hilt of his sword strapped to his lean hip. "We know that Lycan is special to you. But you broke the code by warning him."

Reyna closed the door behind her. Their bedroom chamber was still the same, minus Freya’s scent. Initially, she wanted to tear the lycan limb to limb just for being inside the room.
