Pain subdued her body and the sunlight pierced into her hazel eyes with a stern anguish. She confined her eyelids and let out a pressured groan. Her hands were chained up and she stooped, hanging feebly.
She flickered her eyes as her ears caught a faint sound of a matching footstep. All she could see was a shadow, because the rays of sunlight blotted her vision.
"Who are you?" She muttered, with faltering eyelids.
She gasped as cold water was poured on her from an iron bucket, and her eyes forced itself open as her brain became conspicuous to the environment.
Her heart beat heaved up her chest and she stared at the man standing in front of her with an ominous look. And still, she reiterated her first question "Who are you?"
"Logan Creed. The man you came to kill…" he came closer to her, tickling her neck with his warm breath. H
As Camila was speechless, she thought that she deserved it anyway, as she had seen the death of Mrs Lopez would cost so much to Logan. He fixed the shot to the bullet, inhaled and exhaled, but killing her wouldn't make any difference, only if it could bring back the dead soul. Camila shut her eyes, emptied her heart and mind, waiting for her persecution. Logan clicked the gun, her heart throbbed. But she was still alive… the sounds muffled, as she realized that the man was playing a french roulette and her death would come any second. Logan clenched his teeth, concatenated his fingers for a fist, and slammed into the floor with a clamor. Camila shuddered and opened her eyes. For the first time, she felt sorry for someone. Logan stood up and barged out of the room pushing Camila away. She heaved o
*CAMILA*_* By the time I got out of that shit hole desert, and walked to the hotel, the sun had already gunned down. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. It felt like the end of something, and the begining of another. Jacques was gone, and I was unfortunately, finally alone in this big bad world, a bad world that I myself contributed to. Life hasn't been easy since I was a kid, but that was a story for another day. I walked slothfully pass the guests and the bartender over the bar at the hotel, and retreated into my room. "I hate this world" I muttered to myself, while my hands took on the task of removing the dirty clothes and dumping it into the waste basket. I threw myself on the bed half naked. Bathing was far from my brain's thinking area. I breathed in the air in the room and a faint w
*LOGAN*_* The White Fang Pack was the most dangerous and deadly pack, headed by the ruthless Alpha, Buck. His eyes different from mine, was blood red, because he had shed a lot of blood over the years. He had killed more than I had killed, and any Alpha with a blood red eyes was tagged dangerous because of their brutality. The White Fang Pack wolves would be able to render a werewolf weak and shorten their lifespan if they are bitten with their smallest fang when triggered. And I, before I varnished, was in constant conflict with his Pack. I and Bulk were sworn enemies, because of one thing… "But don't worry about the throne, I'm taking good care of it…" he smiled pompously and fixed his nose into the air, stretching his hands up and apart "All hail the Alpha King" "Have you come here to make a show? … Missio
There is no peace for the wicked, they say. But I hadn't any atom of wickedness running crickety in my veins, and yet, I had no peace. My long found peace had been lost and there was no retrieval. I knew what it meant; a fresh start. But that was if I would ever want to move on. The fitting of the morning into another day saw me reflecting back at what had been my fate over the decades, even before the advent of Mrs Lopez. And Buck's intrusion had only succeeded in making it afflicting. Even going back to reclaim the kingship hadn't been on my mind's thought rader until then. But I was alone. How could I win? I stepped down from the elevated chair and walked to the door, parting it wide apart to invite the sunlight and its requisite consorts, like the bird's tweets. But it wasn't appeasing. I stepped out regardless, and sunlight gleamed over my skin simultaneously with the dusty wind. I looked back at the house and shook my head. "I will be back." I h
LOGAN*_* Jude was awake when I entered, he wasn't as happy as expected, because there was heaps of pain in his heavy heart. I had ensured that the three of them would be put in the same room. They shouldn't be apart from each other again. Jude, who was the first son, had a strong heart, and I saw the spirit of a leader in him, he also seemed rebellious, and would mask his emotions, but not to me. He was a loving young man, a man of his words, intelligent, and sometimes a pain in the ass. I had taught him well. I was the closest to being a father, so I made sure that I was always there for them. Jennifer smiled when she saw me. She was my favorite. They had gotten some minor injuries that night and had fainted. However, I haven't told them about the death of their mother. But I knew that they thought of it.&n
Damaris delivered his work under twenty-four hours and two days later, I went to the hospital again, for the last time. An inhale followed by an exhale, and then… I opened the door, the voices roared in my ears but a smile was what I put on my face because I had decided to deal with the world. Before I turned to the hallway to their room, the noises died out and the beating of my heart and the indistinct chatter of everyone else remained but through a bearable pain. I opened the door to see James, Jennifer and Jericho watching a video with a laptop. I smiled; they were having a good time. "Hey birdies" "Hey Logan!" Jennifer exclaimed and rushed to hug me. "Hey hun. How are you?" "I'm good, thanks. How about you?" "Never been be
I stayed at the airport until the plane took off. It was finally time to do what I had to do. But I had to get ready first. I walked pass a boutique and drew back as the mirror caught my figure. "Hmm. I guess they are right" I said, inspecting my clothe. I wore a tatty sleeveless top and it wasn't looking so good on me. I looked up and saw men's clothing tag on top of the shop. But the glass was tinted, so I couldn't see the inside. So I turned my eyes, letting the werewolf side take over for a split of a second, and I saw through the glass. I went into the shop and got out wearing a black leather jacket, topped after an ash gray polo shirt, a $1.3 million Secret Circus Jeans, while a logo patch low-top bally sneakers veiled my feet, with a Trilby hat… I went back to the mirror. "That's better" I walked down from south marylan
*CAMILA*_* My eyes were constantly fixed to the back as we drove, luckily, he wasn't driving in full speed because I knew how much a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Cal Spyder could run. The taxi driver had it's attention and spirit glued to the wheels, while I tried to maintain a sanely rush so that he won't be distracted, his surging distraction would flair up an unplanned consequence. Cash was paid and my legs carried me into the hotel with an immediate dispense into my hotel room while ignoring Mandy's care; "Hey, what's going on with you? Are you okay?" Her voice echoed. My breathing wasn't subsided yet and I had no freedom dotting in my mind because of Logan Creed, the man I was sent to kill was gradually becoming a mystery man to me, for many facts than one! He was a low life, but It was getting pretty obvi
