Shedim and Skye

Back then there was a bit of an economical crisis. Shedim’s family sold trinkets for a living, just enough to feed their family of 10. Excluding himself and his parents, he had his grandma and 6 siblings. At a certain point, the trinkets had failed to sell during the period of economical depression and the ‘savings’ weren’t nearly enough to keep their family afloat. The first one to go was his grandma, since she had decided she had lived long enough and wanted her children and grandchildren to continue living and make the next generation better.

The next was his father, who made sure his mom and siblings had enough food in their bellies. Then, of course, his mom would die too, followed by older siblings and at last, the resilient younger siblings remained. Shedim did his best to take care of her younger sister.

He stole and threatened as much as he could. When he was caught and placed in jail, he asked only one favour of the police officer who looked kind enough to take pity on him. A
