Miserable existence

“That, I am.” He muttered as he slowly walked like a drunkard towards the centre of the couch. One end of the couch had Enkeli laying on it and the other had Agares. He walked to the centre and plopped down like a dead fish.

Enkeli frowned and poked his torso with her foot.

“Hey, don’t you have anything to say to me?” She asked.

He looked at her with a puzzled and tired look at first, realising that he must have done something wrong that he could not recall. Then he started playing the memories of the past day like a movie tape, trying to remember what he could have done.

‘Or wait, does she mean me listening into their conversation? Is she asking me to confirm if I like her?’ His instinctive naturally told him to smirk and give her a suggestive look but there wasn’t a hint of energy that allowed him to execute his intention. He simply laid there with his head thrown back, exposing his sleek jaw line.

‘I would hit him if he didn’t look this good in that position.’
