Chapter 12: Seduction

Kahlan POV

I don't know how I'm supposed to feel but how I'm currently feeling very bad. The first offense was the fact that I'm suddenly getting butterflies in my stomach because Eric pleaded with me.

Maybe he knew. He knew how much he would affect me. He must have known what he was doing.

I cleared my throat and looked away.

"Are you giving me conditions?" His voice rang dangerously in my ears, startling me for a moment. I thought my anger was bad, his was worst.

I looked at him again. "I'm not a fool, Eric."
