TWO YEARS AGO....

" Ashvara! You.. managed to get in the mating ceremony? What about your household chores?"

Leila asked in worry as she looked down at my plain white gown. I had spent a month sewing the gown by myself. All because I couldn't afford one.

I was the lowly weak omega of Silverpang Pack. All through my life, I was taught by the pack members that I should serve them with my life for raising a leftover rogue like me. Even today, when the whole werewolf community was joining the mating ceremony, I was left with dishes to wash clean.

I hushed Leila and replied in a lower voice, stealing a glance at my surroundings,

" Hush, Leila! I have finally managed to finish them all. If I don't come today, probably I will never manage to get out of here."

At this point, only my mate was the way to get out of this hellish life of mine. My wolf, Seris, whimpered in excitement, sensing something around her,

" Mate....Mate...Ashvara..."

I snapped my head around in excitement. It was my first time attending the mating ceremony. Before today, I had never managed to smell my wolf around. I squealed happily and muttered to Leila, keeping our distance from the crowd in case the head maid spotted us,

" Leila...He is..here...My Mate!"

Leila immediately pushed me into the crowd with an encouraging smile,

" Go! Get him, girl. You only have one chance!"

I nodded my head fast and mingled myself into the crowd. It was hard to detect the exact smell since there were thousands of unmated wolves here. From Alpha's son to average omegas, everyone joined the ceremony each year. I wandered like a lost child until the Moon Goddess in the sky arose fully, bathing the unmated wolves with her graceful light.

Every one of us howled together as a call for our mate. Seris started whimpering and jumping happily inside me,

" He is here! Here...Here.. Ashvara..."

Before I could even turn around, a voice rang behind me, sending a chill down my spine,

" MATE!"

My head snapped back to find the least expected man in the whole werewolf community.

Astar Frostmane!!

My ALPHA!

His eyes turned red in anger. Before I could even say a word, a slap came to my face. I fell with a cry and heard his roaring Alpha voice that drew attention from all the wolves around,

" YOU PIECE OF TRASH!! You dared to come and claim me as your mate even after knowing that I am your Alpha? Did you really think that you could fucking seduce me!!!!"

Why Goddess? Why?

Out of all the wolves, why did you choose him for me?

Like all other wolves, Astar Frostmane treated me no better than trash. In the past, he whipped me several times for even small inconveniences. If I knew that he was my fated mate, I would have never come here.

He roared in front of the whole crowd, announcing to the whole world with accusations and lies,

" She is a low-blooded Omega with no family background. Everyone calls her whore for swaying her ass in front of the young guards always. I, the Alpha of Silverpang Pack, reject Ashvara Darkwater as my fated mate for eternity by the law of Moon Goddess."

I fell to the ground in throbbing pain. My weak wolf, Seris, wailed at the same time, crying in extreme heartbreak and bone-cracking pain.

What did I do wrong to deserve all this?

" You piece of omega Bitch! You still haven't finished my clothes!! Why do we feed a useless bitch like you?"

Isolde Shadowveil's nails dug into my skin painfully until they started bleeding. Seris whimpered in pain from the impact as well. After our severed bond, we became even weaker than before.

I cried out in pain and explained myself in a whimpering voice,

" They...they were given just an hour ago...How can I.....SLAPP...."

Another slap landed on my face before I could even finish my words. Ever since Isolde came to live with this pack, she had always found new ways to torment me. She held my hair in her grip harshly and pointed at one of her undergarments,

" Did you fucking see those stains? They are still there even after you have washed it. Why can't you do your work properly?"

I looked down at the underwear and held my disgust in secret. They were full of cum from her and from my so-called mate, Astar Frostmane. They had been sleeping around for months. Although everyone in the pack knew it, nobody dared to talk about this to avoid serious consequences.

Seris whimpered inside me, weeping in pain,

" I am.. sorry... can't.. protect..you..I..am...weak..."

I let the tears stream down my face and comforted her, enduring the throbbing pain in my skull,

" Don't...Series...At least... you didn't leave me...."

Isolde forced my head down again to sniff her underwear,

" If I don't see them clean in an hour, you will be dead shit today."

Another voice chuckled from the distance, grabbing my attention,

" That's right. Teach her fucking lesson. If you can't handle her, leave her to me."

Astar Frostmane watched everything with amusement. Whenever Isolde used her tormenting methods on me, Astar enjoyed it with passion. He never stood up for me or ever did. Like others, he enjoyed being cruel to me.

Isolde patted her hands together dramatically and spoke after swaying her ass in front of Astar,

" An Alpha like you shouldn't waste your time on a low blood like her. If I can't handle a stubborn bitch like her, how can I be worthy of being your Luna?"

Astar grinned and tugged her closer before disappearing into the woods together,

" Right! I am so proud of you, baby!"

Tears fell from my eyes harder than before. Even after he ended our relationship, the lingering pain in my heart didn't subside a little. One of the maids commented with disgust after watching me cry,

" What's so upsetting about it? At least, she is living in the Alpha's quarter with good food and a bed. Any omega would have died to go there."

I dragged myself up and collected the clothes from the ground. After I washed them clean by rubbing and scrubbing. I finally got time to go back to my room. It was a small storeroom that barely fit me in.

My legs gave up as soon as I entered. So many things were going on in my head. If I stayed longer, Isolde would definitely turn my life into a living hell. Just before I could drift into sleep, a few guards burst into the room. I cried out, holding the bedsheet to my chest,

" You... what are you doing here?"

One of them replied coldly, dragging me down from the bed,

" You are summoned by the Alpha in the court RIGHT NOW!"
