AKIRA'S POV

I was alive.

Where was I?

I inhaled deeply, trying to figure out if I could place the scent.

My heart started thumping hard and I quickly opened my eyes only to be welcomed by the harsh light. I squinted, taking in my environment. King-sized bed, royalty bedroom, and a fresh and woodsy scent.

I gasped. I was back home.

Back to Ares. I tried to regulate my breathing and concentrate on the variety of emotions going through me.

Most of them were from Ares. They ranged from anger to disappointment and then sadness.

Where was he?

My hands quickly flew to my bump only to be met with a flat surface. And pain.

Suddenly everything began rushing into my memory like a damn flood.

How I ran away from Ares, Alpha Pierson, the rogues, my powers, Elizabeth.

I gasped. Elizabeth!

I remembered how Serena and Salvatore killed Elizabeth and how Serena made me grant my powers to her.

Where were they?

How did I get here?

I tried to control my breathing but it refused to cooperate. The
