Third person pov

The morning mist hung low as the three of them left the forest.

Cris drove in silence.

Luxian sat beside Damien in the backseat, glancing at him every few seconds like he was checking if he was still himself.

Damien didn’t move.

He couldn’t.

Every breath he took felt like it cost something. Every heartbeat echoed with something not his own.

The poison was still in him.

It was laced, engineered to pull darkness to the surface and feed it.

His hands trembled.

He tucked them under his arms to hide it.

“You’re losing, Damien…”

The voice inside never slept.

“Let me take over again. We were stronger together. Faster. You saw how easy it was.”

Damien closed his eyes, jaw tight.

Not now.

Not in front of him.

Not in front of Luxian.

“We find Leif. We get the antidote,” Cris said, gripping the wheel hard. “But we’ll have to be fast. He won’t stay in one place for long now that he knows Damien’s still resisting.”

“He’s running?” Luxian asked.

“More like circling,” Cris sa

  • Destined mate   Bargains and Brothers

Third Person – POV Cris didn’t sleep much anymore. Not because he couldn’t—but because every time he closed his eyes, he saw Damien bleeding in the woods. Eyes black. Mind slipping. Teeth bared like something feral. He hadn’t said anything that night. But he’d seen something.Something more than the effects of wolfsbane.Something that hadn’t gone away.Something Damien was still hiding.⸻In the meantime, Cris threw himself into the hunt for Leif.It was easier than facing Ken.He ignored his calls. Left texts unread. Pretended the mate bond didn’t burn through him like wildfire. But every morning before work, Cris would stand by the tree near Ken’s street, watching him go on his jog, just to make sure he was okay. He’d even posted two men to follow Ken from a distance. To protect him.Even while pushing him away.Cris couldn’t afford to bring Ken into this. Not now. Not with Damien unraveling, and Leif still loose. Too many lives were already tangled in the dark.⸻WEEKS LATERCris

  • Destined mate   What’s the worst that could happen

POV: Third Person⸻Weeks Turn Into Months…They found nothing. No sign of Leif.No trail. No whisper. Only shadows where he’d been.Luxian continued working as Damien’s secretary, the routine becoming a quiet refuge. He and Damien had agreed to try again—to rebuild their friendship from the ashes.A second beginning.Less pressure.Still heavy with everything unsaid.Cris trained like a machine. Relentless. Emotionless. Ken remained just out of reach, but still in his dreams every night. He hunted Leif like it was all he had left to control. And Damien?Damien fed only when absolutely necessary. The wolfsbane burned in his bloodstream like a curse, but he endured it—refusing to touch Luxian until he knew the monster wouldn’t take over. But the more he stayed away…The more he found himself watching Luxian.Unseen. But close.⸻Luxian – POVI watched Damien reading through a file, his jaw tight in concentration. He looked different now.Stronger.Younger.More… dangerous.Something ab

  • Destined mate   Battle within

Third person – POV Damien sat in his bathtub, shirtless, hunched over the sink. He hadn’t fed today. His gums throbbed. His veins burned. The demon inside him was scratching to get out, furious at being starved. “You’re getting weaker.” “You’re risking him.” He splashed cold water on his face, but it didn’t help. The reflection in the mirror wasn’t fully his anymore. Eyes darker. Skin paler. Fangs threatening to break through again. He gripped the sink. He’d promised himself—no more feeding off the innocent. But now… even the memory of Luxian’s blood was making his mouth water. He punched the mirror. Shards rained down into the sink. He watched his hand heal in seconds. “One more drink, Damien,” the voice hissed. “He’ll never know.” POV: Damien The night was cold, but not enough to explain the shivers crawling up Damien’s spine. He stood on the corner of a broken street at midnight, the orange glow of a dying streetlamp casting his shadow across the sidewalk like it wa

  • Destined mate   You Said You Loved Me

Cris – POVCris sat in the parked car, staring at the coffee shop window.Ken was inside.Alone. Headphones in. Doodling something in his sketchpad with that same chaotic focus he always had. His lips moved to whatever song he was listening to. Probably pop.Cris didn’t move.Didn’t blink. He’d seen things that would make grown men claw their own eyes out…But this—trying to talk to the boy who had run from him—was what made his hands shake. He pulled out his phone. Typed. Deleted. Typed again. Cris: Can we meet up?”He hit send.Watched Ken’s head lift just slightly when the message came in.The seconds felt like years. Then:Ken:“Are you watching me right now?”Cris sighed.Cris:“Yes.”Ken:“You’re such a creep.”Pause.Ken:“…Sit down.” Ken – POVThe chair across from him slid back and Cris sat down, looking like he belonged in a mafia movie. Black everything. Stoic. Cold-eyed.And yet… when their eyes met, Ken felt that same annoying tug in his chest. Like the part of

  • Destined mate   Closer Than We Knew

Luxian POV.I didn’t listen.Cris told me to stay put.Told me not to open the door for anyone—not even him or Damien. But he never said what to do when my chest started burning. When the mark over my heart glowed hot like it was alive. When I felt Damien breaking, calling out to me, without a word.I couldn’t just sit here and wait for someone to tell me he was gone.Or worse… that he wasn’t Damien anymore. So I ran.Out the door. Through the forest.Straight into the dark. The trees whispered warnings I didn’t understand.Branches scratched at my face. My lungs burned. But none of it mattered.Because the closer I got, the louder the voice in my head grew.“Don’t come back…”But I was already here.⸻I found him in the clearing, bathed in moonlight and blood.Damien stood with his back to me, shoulders rising and falling like he was holding something back—or barely breathing.“Damien…” I called gently. He turned. His eyes weren’t red. They were black. No whites. No pupils. Just… voi
