“I did mean it when I said you should use this time to take a break,” I tell Ethan as he unloads my overnight bag out of his car, giggling. “Not with you driving us to God-knows-where on a Friday afternoon.”

Ethan laughs as he closes the trunk. “Spending time with you is the only kind of rest I need.”

I shake my head to distract myself from the cheesiness because I will admit that made me blush and smile more than it had to. So, I take in the beautiful rest house Ethan drove us to.

With a modern minimalist motif, I’ve never seen a lovelier house.

“Go on inside, I won’t be long.”

And the inside is much more beautiful. I can’t believe I get to stay here even for just a day. I explore each floor thoroughly. The first thing that caught my eye is the beautiful view of the beach from the second floor. With the sun almost gone, the waters are tinted orange and red as the sun retreats on the horizon.
