Aubrianne Ivanov POV
I even saw the grocery store owner where I worked on a separate occasion. Though with him, I did not feel the dread I felt with my English teacher. He and I even shared a few words, and he even paid for a lap dance when he asked me if this is where I work now, and I told him yes! The money was better.
"Ha," I laughed to myself. What an experience both encounters were.
Now, Jada and I met when, in walked Jada one night with two other girls, Kylynn and Ena. They were all glitter and glamour in the highest pairs of heels I had ever seen.
Each, in their pretty little outfits, Jada in her sexy leopard print dress reaching just below her butt cheeks, her toned sexy legs on full display, her beach blonde hair pulled up in a messy bun, her face done to perfection, her skin glowing. And her beautiful grey eyes stared at me as she whispered something to who I knew now as Kylynn.
They laughed lightly, then Jada went up to the counter as it was their turn to cash out the commodities they picked up. Some condoms, mints, random snacks, and a bottle of Bourbon.
When our eyes made contact as I cashed the condoms, she giggled, "that's so my arse doesn't get pregnant like Ena here."
I could not help but smile back as her smile was infectious. "Protection is always better than cure any day, anytime," I said, still smiling.
"Isn't that right? Hi, I am Jada. This is Kylynn," she says while pointing at the girl she was whispering to, "and this is Ena, whom you already know is pregnant". She smiles again as she motions to Ena.
Kylynn was slightly shorter than Jada's five foot seven inches average height, minus the heels, jet black hair and hazel eyes with gold flecks, petit, but very sexy. And Ena' the expecting one' had long fire-red hair cascading down her back with a pair of a beautiful shade of sea-green doe eyes. She was gorgeous, I thought at the time, they all were.
I stopped staring and responded, grinning with a slight blush, "Hi! I am Aubrianne. Nice to meet you, girls".
"I love your hair; it's so full and beautiful!" she says while making grabby hands. Then went on, "Gosh, I simply love it and would love to touch it so badly, can I? And you're so pretty, isn't she pretty?" Jada rattled on slightly, turning to get an answer to her latter question from Kylynn while fully beaming and blushing.
"Yes, she is," Kylynn casually approved.
I replied to Jada's former crazy question about touching my hair. "No way!" I exclaimed. "Sorry, I don't let people touch on my hair, especially someone I don't even know, but thank you for your kind words though…and you are also beautiful, you all are actually," gesturing to each one of them and politely smiled as I finished ringing up their items.
I then packaged their items, and then they left while waving goodbye. I waved back, smiling cheerfully. Still trying to figure out what it was, but there was something about Jada I gravitated to.
I smiled as I recalled their frequent visits during the following weeks that passed, where we would engage in little conversations learning something new about each other each time, whether it was where we lived, what we did when we got off work, or what they did for a living.
A few more visits later, Jada eventually invited me to the club to watch her dance and check out the place.
One thing led to another, and here I am; I came in just in time to replace Ena. Because of her pregnancy, she stopped dancing and worked the bar instead until it was her maternity leave.
My experience here has indeed been life-changing. I gained a family, and I learned a lot. I remember walking into Triple X for the first time. The place was huge, a warehouse space that was well-designed and decorated on the inside. Stripper Poles on every stage spread across, running straight from the ground to the ceiling.
In front of each stage, there were stools with comfy cushion seating all around. A few stages had chairs around them, and others had substantial-sized half-circle-type sofas.
There were enclosed booth areas also, furnished with a lush comfy sofa and a table. The fully stocked bar ran from one end straight down to the other, stacked with drinks I had never even heard of, a DJ booth off to the right, just a bit off the ground, slightly above everyone.
Oh my, I gasped the first time I entered the dressing rooms. It was clean, with mirrors all along the walls and little dressers divided strategically, and the other area of the dressing room included a bathroom and a wall full of lockers. The bathroom was big enough, with five shower heads lining the wall.
I remember being in awe and overly curious. My curiosity won over my skepticism, which is what got me here in the first place. I mean, this place was just amazing, and I will cherish all the memories made.
Every time I saw Jada, she always dressed to perfection, with the latest styles, expensive shoes, and handbags. The girl looked well put together and on point every time.
When Jada walked into my life, I had just started working at the grocery store, which was my second job to pay my way through college and living expenses, and I was struggling at that.
Things were very tight between my mom and me, extensively so that my mom took out the bare minimum life insurance coverage. And, after funeral expenses, I wanted to keep the little I had left untouched, for when I started an internship and moved, my fingers crossed.
At the time, I had big plans for my life.
So, when invited, it only took a little convincing as I was already curious to see what it was all about.
Stepping out of my reverie and standing up, I walked to the side of my dresser, where I could get a full view of myself. My skin shimmering, my eyes roam my body as I take it all in. There was glitter all over my toned legs, curves in all the right places. I twist my body to view my heart-shaped butt.
"I am going to miss you so darn much. Please take me with you. I can fit in your suitcase, pretty, pretty, please?" Jada jest as she stomps into the dressing room, and then she dramatically plops down on a nearby couch and pouts her full gorgeous lips.
Pleased with how I looked, I turned to face her, and walking over to her, I flipped my hair over my shoulders and replied. "You know I will miss you too, but this is what's next for me."
Sitting, I engulfed her in a warm hug. "Besides, we can facetime each other all the time. You can even come to visit me for a weekend."
She pulled back from my embrace, lifted an eyebrow, and said with so much sass, "b!tch I will not miss you that much, and a weekend at that?' She screeched out, 'weekend.'
"Ha, you know that's not gonna happen because momma gots to secure that bag, okay," we laughed and then fell into a peaceful silence.
After a short moment, I reached for her again, "Okay, fine!" Whenever is best for you to visit, you can." Though as I said those words, I felt like my heart was being squeezed in my chest. "Damn, Jay, I will miss you so much."
The thought of leaving Jada really did a number on me. I would be alone yet again and in a new place, starting from scratch and making new friends and acquaintances.
This truly affected my psyche.
After a brief moment, she pushes me away, none of that now, and glances at herself in the mirror, "uh, look at what you did."
I could not help but smile and look at myself as well. Then it was my turn to shout, "uh, look at what You did now, and I have to go on any minute Jada!"
Needless to say, our makeup was both smudged, but thankfully it was waterproof mascara. However, we still needed touch-ups.
I strolled back to where I was seated, dabbed at my eyes, and continued with the rest of the touch-ups as I got myself into the frame of mind needed for my last dance.
Alpha Thornton held the phone and crushed it before he could threaten Dr. Nathan. No. One thing he would never do is go at him unprepared without information. He would not further look the fool to this mere human.Plus, he did not want Ivan nor Jada to know who he was talking to, not to mention Ivan was already suspicious of him, he reasoned."Aubrianne has been kidnapped," Ivan said and took control because he knew Thornton would not be capable of thinking clearly after hearing such news. His eyes were changing from black to red, and he was about to lose control. Ivan told him to breathe, "Deep breaths," he said as he motioned. Then Ivan grappled with his phone and started making arrangements as he updated the guy who was still on the phone with them, and they went back and forth with updates and information.Open communications on both ends while Jada sat in a trance on a nearby plush sofa, trying to connect with Aubrianne or Shawn, and now Alpha Thornton sat frozen and unmoving…Ep
Aubrianne and Shawn cried out as Shawn rushed to Kirrah's side and brought her closer to him and Aubrianne as he consoled her with his tear-filled eyes and felt the most gut-wrenching pain in the midst of all this. And Aubrianne relaxed herself from clutching her chest, grasping her heart, trying to calm the beats, then wrapped her arms around them, trying to give comfort, but it was like her magic was not working, or she could not focus well enough to do the task.At this point, Aubrianne was kicking herself for not giving up herself. All the teams would be alive, not to mention Shawn's mate Kirrah."I should have surrendered. Maybe Kirrah will still be alive." Aubrianne started, but Shawn quickly cut her off, "I won't hear of it."He shut her down instantly."They would have killed us all anyway," Shawn spoke, his voice croaking. Realizing and accepting his faith, he would gladly die and meet his mate in the afterlife. But he had to be strong right now for Aubrianne, and they were s
The sound of tires screeching and the burnt scent of rubber filled their nostrils. And for a moment, they suffered from the force and power that reverberated through the vehicle after the blowing up of the jeep in front of them.Aubrianne's ears were ringing loudly and sharply. It grated on her soul."Zayne, we are under attack, Aubrianne screamed into the phone, not even hearing herself, as she clumsily and desperately tried to reach her lifeline, the phone connection to Zayne.*BOOM* The car behind them was now a goner, taken out with no survivors. More ringing in their ears, Aubrianne screamed towards the phone and informed Zayne the vehicle behind was now down.More vibrations rippled through the air in the wake of the loud explosion…The atmosphere was loud. You could hear the raging licks of fire stemming from the burnt vehicles that had ignited.Screaming came from the jeep behind that quickly died. The night then became suddenly still, and the air almost felt stagnant. Where
Unshed tears swelled in Aubrianne's eyes as she rapidly blinked them away, sniffled, and rubbed her itchy nose with the back of her hand. Goddess, her mom was dead and has been for a long time. She thought she was over this. But the dam burst. Aubrianne couldn't hold it back because this dream had felt so real. Martha burst through the room just as Leia shouted to ease her humans' dismay, 'We must get back to Mother Aubrianne. Snap out of it….' Aubrianne jumped up off the bed as if it was suddenly set ablaze. It was almost like a complete leap, the same way her heart leaped out of her chest, escaping its restraints in utter joy and confusion at that moment, still slightly groggy from her nap and grappling with reality.'You fainted silly,' Leia teased."Oh Goddess, it was not a dream; is my mother alive?" she questioned carefully as if articulating to two-year-olds. After staring wide-eyed at Martha, who was slowly shaking her head up and down in confirmation. While Leia also
Nevertheless, Daniela chose to listen intently. "Don't you see, all I have to do is bide my time?" Daniel expressed enthusiastically, giving hand gestures. His head tilted toward Daniela, staring into her eyes, not backing down or showing a hint of indecisiveness. No, he was certain."Wow, so you are serious about rejecting your mate?" Daniela finally asked. "Yes, I am," Daniel answered, not missing a beat almost before she finished her question."My plan is simple, sis; I would not get myself entangled in anything with anyone and simply wait." Daniela stared at her brother as if he had grown two horns. She could not help it. She snapped, "Who are you, and what did you do to my brother? Because this is not my brother I am talking to." She did not want to start calling him names, especially the fact that she thought he was a psycho.Daniel smiled almost eerily at Daniela and said, "It's me, sis." Daniela could not help but wonder if something sinister was going on. Something di
This was indeed overwhelming and euphoric at the same time, to say the least, for Aubrianne.Since her arrival earlier, Martha had been jolly, almost skipping through her explanations, fanciful as ever. This caused a giddiness in Leia as she listened to what she already suspected. She was wagging her tail and skipping around as if she truly knew what it was.Aubrianne hated this. She hated it when Leia did this - knowing precisely what was going on, but Leia would choose to wait for Aubrianne to figure it out.But she knew Leia knew that she would figure it out, eventually. It was like Leia was sort of testing her, and honestly, Aubrianne does not mind most of the time, but right now, she does not appreciate this about Leia.At All! Right now, she wanted to know what it was all about.Nevertheless, Aubrianne's eyes only widened the more Martha explained. Her security detail had dropped her off and set up two miles away at a motel after they ensured the area surrounding Martha's was se
