Chapter 84

Asher stood in front of Jenny with his hands tucked inside his pockets as they both stood on the rooftop of the hospital.

Jenny clenched her sweaty fingers into a fist and bit her bottom lip silently.

"I'm sorry about what happened between you and my Dad," She finally broke the silence, but Asher's face remained blank.

"You shouldn't blame Mom for what happened... It wasn't her fault. I should take all the blame," Jenny sniffled while trying to hold back her tears.

"This wouldn't have happened if Mom didn't have me. Dad is mad at Mom because he never wanted to have a child with Mom," A drop of tears slid down her cheek. It broke her heart to know that the fight between her parents was because of her existence. Sometimes she just wished she was never here and who knows, maybe all these would've been avoided. They would've been living the good life they were living before she came into existence, but it wasn't her fault that she was born, right?
