เข้าสู่ระบบ"Stop here." I said to the taxi driver as we neared a shabby-looking building. It was dark outside and the building looked depressing.
Was this really the right place? This couldn't be it, could it? Was this how a motel should look like? This looked more like a haunted building.
"Lady, are you getting down or not?" The driver hissed.
"I-I’m sorry." I apologized as I frantically got out of the car. He muttered under his breath and drove off as soon as I closed the door, leaving me alone in the dark.
It was chilly and I wrapped the coat I wore around myself tightly. I contemplated entering into the building at first but what was done was done and I couldn't afford to go back.
I let out a shaky breath as I made my way into the motel and glanced around. The lobby was empty but thankfully everywhere was clean and well lit.
I glanced at my watch. It was exactly nine and a man would be waiting for me inside room number twelve.
This was stupid and reckless but I sure as hell couldn't back down now.
I walked up the stairs and with every step, I felt anxiety creep in. What would he look like? Would I be safe… I didn't doubt the agency I contacted, they worked with elites and pride themselves in the safety of their clients but still, this was my first time doing something like this. I had some pepper spray in my pocket just in case.
I walked through the long corridor till I reached room number twelve and stopped in front of the door. I pressed my ear to the door and hoped to hear some movement in the room but I heard nothing. Inhaling and exhaling, I knocked softly and almost immediately the door opened making me stumble backwards.
The man standing in the doorway was tall, infact much taller than I expected. The light in the corridor was dim so I couldn't really see his face.
I cleared my throat. “Good evening….are you the man I'm looking for?” I asked.
There was no response from him, suddenly he reached out and grabbed my arm before pulling me into the room. I let out a squeal as the door closed behind me and clicked shut signifying that it was locked.
“What are you doing?” I asked. His grip on me was firm and I caught a whiff of his spicy scent, I broke free of him and backed away from him.
The room was dark and I couldn't see or feel anything but could definitely feel his presence in the room.
“It's dark in here. Please turn on the light.” I said. What was his problem or was this part of the arrangement. The agency promised safety but I didn't feel very safe right now.
I heard some movement then light illuminated the room. It came from a lamp on the nightstand and gave the room a cozy feel. It's a neatly arranged room and he small bed was laid out nicely. There was a small wardrobe in the corner and only one window in the room. Other than that the room was practically bare.
The man was leaned against the wall, his arms crossed. I could feel his gaze all over me, watching me.
“Why did you grab me like that earlier. Is this how you treat your customers? I don't what game you're playing at but I'll report you to the agency if you don't know your place.” I said angrily, hoping I sounded intimidating enough.
He didn't respond but I could clearly see the way the corner of his mouth lifted.
Was he smiling.
“What's so funny?” I snapped at him.
“You're scared. You don't have to be because I'll make you feel good tonight.” His voice was deep and the sound made my stomach do flip flops.
“Then do it and stop talking.” I said feeling annoyed. Imagine someone as low as him talking to me like that. There wasn't any time to replace this man but I definitely was going to report his rudeness and boldness.
He chuckled and moved closer to me and I fought the urge to step back. He was enormous up close, easily towering over my five-foot-six frame, his broad shoulders straining his crisp black shirt.
The light coming from the lamp revealed his features and I stared in awe. He was handsome with gorgeous brown eyes which were now staring at me intensely.
I didn't like the way he looked at me, like he could see me my inner thoughts.
“Back up.” I said but I sounded scared. My heart was pounding and I gulped.
He did the exact opposite as he came closer and I had to tilt my chin up to hold his gaze.
“What’s someone like you doing here? You look like a frightened animal, weak and helpless.” He whispered, running his thumbs across my cheek.
“Do you talk to your clients this way?”
“I apologize for my bluntness, I'm just trying to set the mood.” He whispered.
“Well I don't have all night.”
My plan was to lose my virginity to a stranger and that was it. I didn't want that romantic bullshit after all this arrangement was anything but romantic.
“But the night is all we have.” He said in his deep velvety voice.
His hand came up slowly, and he tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
He cupped my chin and tilted my face up. I freeze as his mouh found mine roughly.
Wait! Kissing wasn't part of the arrangement.
I gasped into his mouth as he took of my coat revealing the loose dress I wore under. His cologne wrapped around me, dark and spicy, mingling with the clean, masculine scent of his skin that made my thighs clench instinctively.
He pulled back just enough to look into my eyes and I swore his piercing brown eyes softened a bit.
“You don't know who I am?” He asked softly.
What the hell was he talking about? How should I know who he was? He was just a common gigolo.
“Stop talking and just get to what you're here for.” The sooner we were done with this, the sooner I could leave. He stared at me for what felt like an eternity and he smiled.
Take off your dress.” He commanded.
I woke up in his bed with the sun streaming through the windows and his arm wrapped around my waist. For a second I thought it was a dream. Then I felt his cock hard against my ass and I remembered everything. The office. The desk. The way he had fucked me on the kitchen counter when we got home. The way he had carried me to the shower and washed me and then fucked me against the tile wall.I turned over to look at him. He was watching me with those gray eyes. Half asleep. His hair was messy and he had stubble on his jaw and he looked nothing like the polished CEO who ran board meetings."Good morning," he said."Good morning," I said.He kissed me soft and slow. Different from last night. This was gentle. Tender. His hand cupped my cheek and he kissed me like I was something precious and I felt my heart do this stupid little flip."I need to tell you something," he said.My stomach dropped. This was it. This was the part where he said it was a mistake and it could never happen again
The office had gone quiet by seven. I had been staring at the same spreadsheet for forty minutes. when the intercom on my desk crackled."Miss Turner. My office. Bring your notepad."His voice. That low, rough sound that always made my thighs press together under my desk. I had been his executive assistant for eighteen months. I knew that tone. The one that meant he was restless. The one that meant the day had left him wound up tight and looking for something to take apart.I grabbed my tablet and walked the corridor to his corner office. The door was open. He stood at the window with his back to me. His jacket was off. His sleeves were rolled to the elbows showing off those forearms that had no business being that defined on a man who spent most of his days in boardrooms."You wanted to see me, Mr. Hale."He turned around. Gray eyes. Dark hair just starting to go silver at the temples. At forty three the man looked like he had been carved from stone and bad decisions. He looked at th
He took her on the floor of the living room with the boxes still unpacked around them, and it was different from the other nights. It was angry and it was hungry and it was possessive in a way that should have frightened her and did not. He pulled her jeans off and he threw them across the room and he knelt and he ate her like he was claiming her, like he was putting his name on her skin with his tongue. He made her come twice before he even undressed. And then he stood and he shed his clothes and he pulled her up and he pushed her against the wall and he lifted her and he drove into her, hard, and he said, say his name now. Say it and I will stop. She could not have said it if her life depended on it. She said, Edmund. Edmund. Edmund. He fucked her against the wall until the candle guttered and he flickered and she held him, grabbed his shoulders, held him there with her own wanting, and she said, do not you dare leave me. He came with a sound like a man being pulled up out of deep w
She did not wait a week. She did not wait a day. She waited until the sun went down and then she lit the stub of candle and she held the key to her chest and she said his name, and he came up through the floor with his hair wet from a bath he had not taken in a hundred and thirty years and his mouth already smiling. You were quick, he said.I was lonely, she said. That is your fault. He took that as a compliment, she could tell, and he took her into the bedroom and he undressed her like he was unwrapping a present he had been shaking all day. That first night was the night she learned what a Victorian gentleman did with a cravat when he was feeling modern. He tied her wrists to the bedframe with it, not tight, just enough, and he made her watch while he took his time. He kissed down her body like he was reading a book he already loved. He put his mouth on her until she was crying his name into the pillow, and then he pulled back and he said, not yet, my darling, and he made her wait un
She swallowed. The candle flame flickered. What things, she said.He did not answer with words. He stepped closer and his other hand came up and he touched her face, cold fingers against her cheek, and he tilted her chin up and he looked at her for a long moment. His eyes were dark and there was something in them that was not cold at all. Something that was burning.I died in a duel, he said. Over a woman. Do you know what is funny about that? I did not even love her. I was young and I was proud and I was stupid and I let a man goad me into standing in a field at dawn because of a woman I did not even love. I spent my whole life chasing pleasure and I died for a woman I did not love, and I never once got to chase the one thing that mattered. What is that, she said.He leaned down and his mouth was close to her ear and his breath was cold but it was breath, it was real, and she felt it on her neck and she shivered.Being wanted, he said. Truly wanted. Not for my title or my money or my
The floorboards below her answered. And something in the dark began to climb.Mara stood in the middle of her kitchen with the candle shaking in her hand and she told herself that she was a grown woman who did not believe in ghosts. She had paid rent. She had a job. She had voted in the last election. Grown women did not stand barefoot on cold linoleum at two in the morning waiting for a dead man to come up through the floor. But the floorboards kept creaking, one board at a time, like a staircase of sound coming up toward her, and her heart was doing something stupid and fast in her chest. The creaking stopped right under her feet. She looked down. The wood was still. Then the air went cold and it was not the cold of a draft. It was the cold of a hand on the back of her neck. It was the cold of a mouth breathing close to her ear and she spun around and he was there, standing in her kitchen like he had always been there, like he had never left.He looked different in the dark. The can
He was wearing gray sweatpants that hung low on his hips, and a white t-shirt stretched tight across his broad chest. The dark ink on his arms looked entirely too delicious for this early in the morning. The man had 'fuckboy' written all over him, and judging by the vocal performance I'd overheard l
It took the rest of the afternoon to fully settle in, and by the time I finished unpacking, the kitchen was still a disaster. Exhausted, I decided to just order a pizza and call it a day.My phone rang and my best friend, Kayla's name popped up on the Facetime screen. I answered, immediately scrunch
I hated moving like I hated a bad orgasm.I'd been in and out of seven apartments in ten years, and somehow it never got easier. I told myself for the hundredth time that this was the last move I would ever make but you never knew where life would take you eventually. Luckily for me, I got the ap
I was about to oblige when I stopped. I had to assert dominance, show this man I knew exactly what I was doing. “No. Take off yours.” I said haughtily. He wasn't in control here. I was. He chuckled again, the deep sound doing strange things to my core. “I guess I'll do it for you.” He reached ou
