Sexy green

CHAPTER THREE

Larissa held a bottle of Sexy green in her palms, staring dreamily at it. Wow! Life just got better. She still couldn't believe she was now dining at the Kaave's mansion, flying in and out of the states, now, drinking the most expensive wine in Dirty South.

Looking into the pool, Larissa winked at Georgianna, whom was taking a dive into the large pool.

The two best friends were cruising by the pool in Chief Kaave's mansion.

"Having fun, yeah?" Georgianna asked, swimming towards Larissa.

"This wine is the best I've had all my life," Larissa emptied a glass. "Ummmm.. giving the white feels."

"That Chief Onapuruagu is good to an extent in wine production," Georgianna stepped out of the pool, walking to the area where two masseurs stood professionally, waiting to render services. She eyed them.

"You came highly recommended, don't disappoint yourselves." She said.

Both friends were now having a massage. From their body language and expressions, they were sure having a good time.

"You haven't attended classes in two months," Larissa dropped her mobile phone, indicating it was a serious topic.

"Classes?" Georgianna huffed. "Waste of my time."

"Stop clowning, what useful business do you engage in with your time?"

The presence of a man dressed in black pants and white T shirt tucked into the pants interrupted the friends.

"Miss Georgianna Raymond?" The man's voice sounded familiar to Georgianna but she couldn't recognize the face.

Georgianna turned to sit up, dismissing the masseur massaging her back. "Georgianna Kaave," Her voice overly irritated. "It's now Georgianna Kaave, never address me otherwise."

"Apologies," He responded, maintaining a peaceful expression.

"Now, address me properly."

Left with no choices, he scowled. "My sincere apologies Miss Georgianna Kaave," Tension made his tone sharp.

"What are you doing on this property, who are you and who let you in?"

"My name is Tony, I have an envelope to deliver to you," Tony moved forward and presented a brown envelope. "Here, you're to make a phone call so I'll confirm the authenticity, and I was told you know who to call."

Tony waited, Larissa just stared at him, wondering about the envelope and it's content.

Smiling slowly, Georgianna made a phone call, stepping aside so to speak freely, when she dropped the phone call she strode back to Tony and snatched the envelope. "Weldon job, Tony, you may leave."

"Enjoy the rest of your day ma'am." Tony said with a wide smile.

Refusing to acknowledge it, Georgianna watched him until the lengthening shadows swallowed him up. "Yes!" She whispered to herself once he was out of sight.

"Who was that man and who did you speak with on the phone?" Larissa asked, determined to know every detail.

Their gazes locked, then Georgianna looked away, saying. "Tony works for my maternal aunt, she sent me the package and I needed to speak with her on the phone.." Her tone dismissive.

Larissa shrugged. "Well, what's in the envelope?"

"None of your business."

"How about Coco?"

"What about Coco?" It took an effort, but Georgianna rallied enough to snort at that. "Coco is fine."

"Any news on who poisoned her?" Larissa trotted after her. "Who do you think would want an innocent unborn child dead?"

Georgianna suddenly appeared cynical, she slanted Larissa a look. "I don't know, were you expecting me to know something?"

"You know y'all are in trouble, right?" Larissa wondered how Georgianna was not scared of the incoming trouble. The news had spread on every street and people were getting scared.

"Trouble?" Georgianna huffed. "Not scared of a thing because I am not involved in her misfortune."

Indignation and a good dose of worry, rose sharply. Georgianna hated the fact they were talking about Coco and dismissed the subject. "Leave Coco and let's talk about good things," She reached for Sexy green and poured herself another glass, drinking satisfactory. "In for a yacht cruise?"

"Who's yacht? Your sister's husband? Wouldn't that be insensitive to ask for their yatch while they're mourning? Or even cruise on your father's?" Larissa shook her head. "That's not a wise thing to do, wrong timing... insensitive."

"Chief Onapuruagu and Chief Kaave aren't the only owners of a yacht in Dirty South." With her heartbeat jumping into double time, Georgianna stared at Larissa. "This one belongs to a big shot in Dirty South."

"You're really living the life hunie, and you deserve it. Goodbye to trenches, bestie." Hell, she was smiling now.

Georgianna hated fretting but couldn't help herself, emptying another glass of wine, she dropped the glass. "That's what you get when your surname ends with Kaave."

Larissa finger - combed her hair, she would have been exhausted but she wasn't. She felt filled with purpose, energy. "Introduce me to the big shots in Dirty South, please..so I can quit stripping at the club."

"Just remain a loyal one and I will." Georgianna could hear the contrition in her own tone. "Park your bags and everything you'll need for a month, from cruising on the yacht we'll be going to Ibiza for a trip."

Larissa stiffened for one alarming moment before realizing the tendency of Georgianna's motive. "Are you running away from Coco?" She made it come out as a joke.

"Never ask me such a silly question again." Georgianna sounded peeved. She moderated her tone. "Get ready, you're about to go on a yacht cruise first time in your life."

***

Chief Onapuruagu stretched as he paused by the door of Mrs Claudia's bedroom when he overheard her speak on the phone. He'd been up half of the night working and when he had made it to bed, he hadn't been able to sleep because he'd wanted Coco. Bad.

Where had she gone to? Could he trust her at this moment not to hurt herself? His instincts had told him to stop looking so eager to be with her. He'd all but run her to ground, occupying every available free second she had. At this rate, she'd figure out that she had him wrapped around her little finger and the fun would end.

Damn, but she managed to dredge very unfamiliar feelings out of him. He'd never had a woman occupy his every thought, but he liked thinking about her, it made him smile.

Cheif Onapuruagu was coming to speak with Mrs Claudia. He wanted to know if she had shown up for coffee. God knew he should have been sleeping, but he needed to talk to someone. He froze at the sound of Claudia's voice.

"I should be in LA tomorrow morning," Mrs Claudia seemed so decided and certain. "I have accomplished what I came to do in Dirty South, it's time to go back to LA."

Within a minute, Chief Onapuruagu was inside the bedroom, glaring suspiciously at his mum. What could this mean? He thought to himself, could his mother really kill her blood?

Damn it, from the start he'd known his mother never gave her consent and support in his marriage with Coco. His relationship with his mother had gone from being secure to insecurities and doubts. He should have known earlier.

"Son.." Mrs Claudia said, looking up at him. "How long have you been there?"

"I heard your conversation," He exhaled before continuing. "What did you mean when you said you've accomplished what you came to do in Dirty South? I really want to understand that part, mom."

"Fred.." She stammered.

He was getting enraged. "What is the exact mission that brought you here?"

Mrs Claudia smiled, trying to warm the room positively. "I came for Tem's party at the modeling agency to celebrate her new win as the new face of TRENDZ fashion, I only stayed back to also celebrate your wife's gender reveal party."

Chief Onapuruagu wished he hadn't asked, he hated the idea that he thought her to be a culprit and was disgusted at himself for having such thoughts. He felt stupid.

Now her smile warned him.

"Hope you're not insinuating that I possibly killed my grandson I was eagerly expecting?" Claudia said, eyeing him. "Better stop the pity party and look for where Coco is before she starts acting like the hoodlum she is."

Relieved, Chief Onapuruagu smoothed her hair and kissed the top of it. "I'm sorry mom, thank you."

Mrs Claudia sighed. "I may not like Coco but I can never extend that to my bloodline, she was carrying my grandson..I still hurt from the incident and wish her all the strength she needs now."

Chief Onapuruagu liked her wording. He looked at her smiling, his own heart heavy.
