Chapter 9 - A Walk To Past

Ashton and Peter both had a talk on call about the meeting and their plans for tomorrow. After sometime they talk about absolutely nothing but crap and lastly declined the call. Ashton laid back holding pillow close to himself and his thoughts went back to that time, replaying the memory of his first encounter with Bella. He started to think back about how his friends were around Varonica and that look of terror on her face that was the first time when Ashton had met Bella.

Varonica backed away, Tina was ready to punch or kick her butt and Ashton would have enjoyed the show too but he stopped her cause he didn't want her to have all the fun alone he wanted it too. So rest of Ashton's friends had surrounded Varonica and waited for Ashton.

" I am sorry. It happened by mistake." Varonica half smiled in fear as Ashton kept coming closer.

" Tch Tch don't be sorry it's okay." her back hit the table and she stumbled.

" Stop what you are guys doing. Stop bullying her. " a sweet whisper like voice rang in Ashton's ear and it had him halted on his tracks.

It was Bella, she had pushed Ashton's friends aside and squeezed herself in the circle to protect her friend. At that time Ashton didn't know that this girl would have such an effect on him ever. It was next to impossible to think it would come to this.

Ashton had picked a can of coke and was about to pour it on Varonica's head but Bella's delicate and soft hands held his arm in mid air, her eyes filled with anger staring at him in disgust which only had made him feel proud over the devil he was.

" Let go of my hand." Ashton warned Bella.

" what will you do if I won't. Tell me what you will do. Do you think I am scared of you? I am not afraid of you get that thing straight in your head." she went on and on as she kept pushing him.

Ashton didn't remember how but he tripped over something and as she was pushing him, she stumbled along with him too. His one hand flew free in the air to find support while the other curled around her cylindrical waist but nothing helped and he fell on his back on the floor with Bella above him.

His one hand had still been on her waist, the intensity of fall was too sudden that she hadn't got time to cop up with it her lips brushed against his at the impact. His whole body was on fire just by mere touch of her lips. He felt an unknown urge to kiss her.

Back then he had not known why his body responsed the way it did and why he wasn't able to look away from her wide big beautiful eyes.

He smiled at his thought, even by remembering that time he couldn't stop his heart from doing a happy dance. He had never thought that they would meet this way like strangers who hated each other but they came a long way from that and fell for each other. Until she left him. He didn't want to think about that so he forced to close his eyes to let sleep take over him.

Bella had her head covered under duvet but sleep was far away from her eyes. She peeped her head out of the duvet and snuggled into pillow. Chilled wind was blowing outside which entered in her room too through the open window while Bella drew different patterns on the pillow with her finger while thinking about Ashton.

She didn't know why she was thinking about Ashton. Though she tried not to but the memories they had together were running in the back of her mind on loop ever since she met him again in the restaurant. The way they had met for the first was so dramatic like right of some TV show.

Infact Varonica's eyes were ready to pop out of sockets when she along with others in cafeteria saw what had happened. It wasn't a kiss, their lips had barely brushed for mere seconds before they pull apart but the shiver which had ran through Bella's spine and the butterflies arousing in her stomach and they weird sensation she felt.

Bella stood up, not caring about smoothening her dress dusting it off, she hurriedly vanished from there with her cheeks painted in a slight red hue due to embarrassment. Varonica followed her. She directly had gone to the washroom.

" Yuck... Bella you are ruined. That asshole stole your first kiss." Varonica chided.

" Varonica, are you here to make me feel better or even worse." Bella screamed while washing her mouth vigorously with water over and over again.

" I understand your pain best friend." Varonica patted Bella's shoulder and tried to console her.

Bella was confused weather to feel good or to get sad because after remembering that moment she had a smile on her face. And that made her afraid. It didn't matter how angry or in grief she would ever be but his thoughts, their happy times still managed to sooth her somehow. And she hated him for it even more because ironically enough he was always reason behind her sufferings but he happened to be the remedy too.

That just sucked.

It was late by now and Bella was supposed to wake up on time tomorrow for her first official day at work. She was extremely thrilled about it and was waiting for sun to raise eagerly but to her dismay it was only 3am.

After she had the talk with her subconscious mind, her body felt somewhat relaxed and due to tiredness also her eyes started dropping. She yawned and hugged the pillow again snuggling into it even more, cold breeze tickled her face as she fell asleep.

Both were in sleep with an enchanting smile on their faces due to overwhelming feelings. They were amused how they fell in love with each other despite their not so pleasant first encounter but this was what love was.

Bella and Ashton replayed those moments in their heads but both had a different perception. Ashton was blessed that he met Bella while Bella was happy too but she cursed that day anyway because if she had never met Ashton then maybe she was never left broken. One was determined to fight while the other was determined to avoid and with different determinations both slept with different hopes for tomorrow.
