The lights at Morgan Origin were still on, even though night had fully fallen. Inside a glass-walled room with half-drawn curtains, Selena stood in front of a strategy board. A pen in her hand, but her mind was sharper than any scalpel.

Tasha sat behind the desk, her eyes glued to her laptop screen.

“So… we’re really going to destroy Evelyn directly?” she asked quietly.

Selena turned to her, her gaze cold yet unwavering. “She started this. But she forgot one thing.”

“What?”

“I’m not a woman who can be taken down the same way twice.”

The next day, on the top floor of the art gallery where Evelyn had been named guest curator…

A prominent businessman, an old associate of Julian, stood admiring one of the abstract pieces on display. A woman—in an emerald green dress and a soft trail of jasmine perfume—approached him.

“Mr. Leo,” Selena greeted with a diplomatic smile. “It’s good to see you again.”

Leo turned, slightly surprised. “Selena? I thought you weren’t interested in art anymore.

The sound of light rain tapped against the office windows, echoing the fury brewing inside Selena. Tasha stood hesitantly near the door, unsure whether to step further in. On Selena’s desk, a mess of media reports lay scattered—all of them featuring Evelyn’s face: serene smile, graceful pose, adored by the public.“Look at this,” Selena muttered, pointing at the laptop screen.> ‘Evelyn: The New Symbol of Modern Jewelry and Social Good.’“Since when did the world become so easily deceived by a fake mask?”Tasha lowered her gaze. “What are we going to do?”Selena inhaled sharply, eyes narrowing. “We’re going to attack her at the very place she takes the most pride in.”Tasha looked confused. “What do you mean?”“Evelyn built her image through social campaigns and this narrative of personal rebirth. But all of it... is just that—an image. We’ll find someone who knows the real her. A former staff, a past client, anyone from her history. Everyone has shadows. We just need to find the one

The sky over the city was still blanketed in a soft mist when the massive LED screens across downtown lit up with Evelyn’s face. Dressed in a sky-blue satin gown, she smiled serenely, her image dominating every corner of the capital’s busiest streets—introducing the newest diamond collection from Wilhart Jewellery, a subsidiary of William’s company.> “Introducing Celestia Diamonds—where elegance meets power,”Evelyn’s voice echoed through every screen.Selena had just arrived at her office when she caught sight of the screen outside her window. Her eyes widened. Her breath caught in her throat. Her heartbeat surged erratically. The Wilhart logo was unmistakable. And Evelyn… Evelyn was the face of the company’s biggest launch to date.“How is this possible...?” she whispered. “Why her?”Tasha entered with a stack of documents, but paused when she saw Selena’s pale face.“Something wrong?” Tasha asked cautiously.Selena turned and pointed to the screen. “Look for yourself! That’s Willi

The sky was flushed crimson outside Selena’s office window. From the 38th floor, she could see the rooftops of Jakarta glowing faintly in the fading light. But what truly held her gaze was a modest building across the street—the psychiatric therapy center rumored to now be frequented by Evelyn.Selena stood motionless, her eyes sharp. Her face betrayed no emotion, but her fingers clutched the glass of tea so tightly it nearly cracked.“You look... unsettled,” said Adrian as he walked in.Selena didn’t turn. “She’s at peace.”“Who?”“Evelyn,” she replied quietly. “After all the chaos she created, after all her dirty games... now she gets to live in peace. Seek healing. Earn the public’s sympathy.”Adrian crossed his arms. “Are you jealous?”“It’s not jealousy.” Selena turned, locking eyes with him. “I’m disgusted. At a world so quick to forgive women like her, yet so slow to stop punishing women like me.”Adrian exhaled and stepped closer. “Selena... you’ve already won. Your popularity

That morning, William stepped out of the conference room. His shoulders were tense, but his face looked lighter after the press conference Selena had led earlier. He walked toward the elevator, loosened his tie, and exhaled deeply. His phone buzzed nonstop—notifications pouring in. Public support for Selena was surging, while Evelyn’s name was beginning to raise questions.“Why is Evelyn the one losing the public’s favor?” he muttered to himself.---Elsewhere, in a quiet room filled with art pieces and memorabilia, Evelyn sat curled up, hugging her knees.Above her, the glass ceiling revealed the grey afternoon sky. Raindrops still clung to the windows. In her hand, she held an old photo—she and Julian at the grand launch of a major project five years ago. They looked like a royal couple: perfect, untouchable. But another memory intruded—William, holding her when she broke down three years ago.“Did I throw away two men… just to win a fight that never had an end?” she whispered to he
