Hazel's POV

"Are you ready?" Peculiar muttered, her gaze on me as she brushes my hair. The interview with the press is going to start soon and Lucy, Zeke and I are being the one interviewed.

I exhaled sharply, "yes, I am ready!" I responded and she graced me with a smile that looked forced. I realize Peculiar isn't her normal self since this morning. I wonder what was wrong, I wa going to figure that out after the interview.

"You are born ready! I trust you baby, break a leg!" She cheered and I nodded my head.

Walking in to take my seat, once the three of us plus the interviewer were ready, they camera rolled and we were called to action.

"Wow, three amazing people are here and I am so pleased and honoured to have you guys here in this Tea for tat show, so tell me Zeke how are you feeling?" The interviewer, Renney, a blonde lady with bug brown eyes said as she gazed at Zeke with a professional smile.

Zeke chuckled, as he crossed his legs, "I feel good!" He responded.

"That's great!

Hazel's POV The breeze caressed my face as the car sped off. My hands were on the windows; I leaned on them. The tears had dried, and I felt solemn, lost in a thought that felt void. My head was blank, but I was still stuck in there. The ride was quiet, and I appreciated the solitude. I had no idea how I would start to explain to Zeke why I was so mad and sad. I didn't want to visit the past I had left behind despite all the struggles. "How do you feel?" "Zeke?" he asked, disrupting my thoughts. I sighed before leaning back on the chair. "Good... I guess," I muttered, my voice low. "Great, that's what I need to hear, Hazel. So brace yourself, pumpkin, because I am going to take you on a beautiful journey," he said, sounding so excited. I tucked my hair back, laughing, "I can't wait to see what you have planned, Zeke." I hope it's something good," I joked, and he flashed me a sweet smile. "Oh, you wait and see," He smiled and then zoomed faster, taking a ro

Hazel"And how do you know that?" I snapped, my brows pulled up. Liam flashed me a smile filled with pride. "Because it's me," he answered while I rolled my eyes."Show off," I muttered under my breath. I tap my toe continuously on the floor, and when a server comes, I grab an alcoholic wine—something to drink to keep me busy since what the man in front of me does is gawk and stare at me in a way that seems provocative. Fortunately for me, Liam's attention was being distracted when a man came over to his place to talk about some business, so I used that opportunity to sneak away.Using this opportunity to look for Peculiar, she seemed not to be here anymore. I wonder where she sneaked off to."Oh, Hazel," Tamara, one of the Lunas in the pack council, who I do not like. She is one who loves to brag and look down on people, and I'm sure she was one of the people who were pleased to hear about my rejection."Hi, Tamara," I didn't hide my displeasure. Of course, she is the last person I

Hazel's POV I didn't want to go out, but tonight, Peculiar had declared it was a matter of urgency. The party we were invited to was one of a kind, and she said it would help boost my career to another level."We've been lucky to be invited, Hazel, and so I won't want you to miss this. "It's an opportunity that comes once in a blue moon," she nagged when I tried to complain. She had already made up her mind before meeting me that we were going to attend the party.Peculiar had gotten my dress and shoes ready, plus the jewellery I would wear. She'd made sure everything she got was top-notch.We arrived at the venue late because Peculiar didn't want us to seem that we were eager to be at the party. I stepped into the party; a tinge of familiarity tugged within me. I hadn't asked Peculiar what the party was about; I should have asked; it just slipped my mind.As soon as I got in, different scents of werewolves wafted into my nose, and I was stung... literally shocked. The ratio of human

Lucy"Guess what, Lucy!" Tom squealed while I furrowed my brows, wondering what was making him so excited."You won't believe this," he said, smiling sheepishly.I frowned my lips, "Believe what?""Tell me what you did to be invited to this." He gave me that look that says I did something without him knowing. Last I checked, I've been trying to be sober from drugs and also trying to put out positive energy since the last interview."What are you talking about, Tom? I have no idea what you are saying." I hissed out; even though I acted like I was nonchalant, I was curious to know what he was talking about."Are you serious?" He muttered, now confused that I really didn't know what he was talking about."Dead serious," I stated, and his jaw dropped."You've been invited to the Trailblazers party," he said, and I chuckled."What kind of joke is this?" I scoffed, not minding him because I haven't reached a league where I would be invited to such a party. I mean, I still have thousands of

Liam's POV I caressed my brows with my focus on the document in front of me. I've been trying to see what's wrong with this. I needed to work on this and move on to the next. Biting my lower lip, my eyes raked the words written on the paper, but I understood nothing because my mind had been swirling, my wolf had been howling, and my demeanor had changed because I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. She told me to leave... I really want to listen to her, and that's why I am here. Trying to shove work down my throat, giving myself work, and also drowning in it.I couldn't go home yesterday; I didn't have the mind to. I've been wearing the same clothes since last night, only a few buttons are loose, and my table is stockpiled with documents I had asked Tate to put behind till I was ready."Alpha, would you want me to get you the coffee?" Tate asked, disrupting any thought. I glared at him and then told him off with a wave; I wasn't ready to give any conversation.Anyone who wants to

Hazel's POV Kierra pulled me to a sofa nearby; the kids had gone to school. She had a worried look on her face, her hands on my shoulder the moment our butt touched the sofa."The feelings lingering inside of you don't mean you do not dislike him." It's normal for you to have these feelings because he is your fated mate; just because he rejected you and left for four years doesn't mean the aftermath of the bond isn't there," she explained and paused. I wasn't getting it; it felt like her words were still the same I would hear from elders."I know that look, Hazel! You blame yourself for having these feelings despite everything he did to you. You see yourself as a fool even when you try to act strong." She added, and I bit my lower lip. Tears sting my eyes because she read me as clear as a crystal. The truth was... "I am afraid, Kierra. "I am afraid to give in to these feelings; I shouldn't be feeling this way," I confessed. Tears glistened in my eyes; I tried to hold it back, and so
