Cassandra’s POV

“I meant my boss, obviously, any problem?” I said quickly, feigning innocence. I whispered a prayer that he’d buy it. How could I have been so stupid? I was overtired and careless.

He nodded quickly. “Well, please let me know as soon as you hear anything,” he said. Apparently, he didn't take my words seriously.

Phew. I dodged a bullet and managed to circumvent any suspicion.

I told Jordyn I had to go but that I’d check back in with Stanley later. I went straight to the studio and sat down in Stella’s office.

“How’s Stanley?” she asked. I sighed deeply.

“He’s recovering,” I told her. “But I don’t know, Stell. It’s strange. He was perfectly healthy and then bam, he just developed this heart condition. The doctor’s looking into it. Running more tests. That sort of thing.”

“Well,” she said, resting back in her chair. “I’m glad to hear he’s doing okay. Hopefully, you’ll have more information soon.”

Cassandra’s POVLaura had leaked photos of MY fabric to our competitor.I stood, frozen to the spot as it all came washing over me. It was like a flurry of puzzle pieces snapping into place. The day the power went out, I’d been locked in the bathroom. Because LAURA had been holding the door cl

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 357: Stolen Fabric

Cassandra’s POV “How did this happen?” I stared at the picture of the dress. It was from Stillwater’s website, a major player in the fashion industry. They had a bit of a bad rep for doing some shady stuff though, like not treating their model’s well and copying other people’s designs. The dress was part of their new line, and it had just launched that morning.

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 356: One of the Boys

Jordyn’s POV “You gonna miss this place?” I asked Dillon as we made our way outside. The house felt strange without all their belongings everywhere. They were moving into my grandfather’s estate tomorrow, so when Dillon suggested we all have one last hurrah at his place, I’d happily accepted the invite. “Yeah, man. I really am,” Dillon said with a heavy sigh. He cracked a beer and passed it to me. “But the estate is nice. And Cassandra’s happy.”

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 355: Not Ready

Dillon’s POV I was doing my best to have a good time, since it was the last good time I’d have in my house. But my smiles were forced. All of our things were packed up and ready to go, but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to my house. I was happy that Laura would be renting the place, since I knew she’d take good care of it and it gave me a reason to keep it instead of selling it.

Cassandra’s POV “I brought pizza!” Stella proudly announced when I opened the door. “And I brought beer,” Cameron chimed in. “Fantastic,” I smiled at them, ushering them into the house.

Cassandra’s POV I was clutching the steering wheel and trying to focus on the road. My vision was blurry from lack of sleep and a long day hovering over a sewing machine at work. I’d just finished the mock-ups of the new formal line of dresses, so although I was crazy tired, I was looking forward to a relaxing night with Dillon. He was taking me out to eat. He’d found a new restaurant that specialized in raw foods, and he was excited to try it out. Despite my fatigue, I found myself humming along with the radio.&
