Jordyn’s POV

I hadn’t expected to run into Sebastian. He smirked at me and my blood boiled.

We stopped and stared at each other for a moment, the tension between us palpable. Then, without thinking, I lunged at Sebastian, slamming him up against the wall. I held him there with my elbow over his throat.

“I know what game you’re playing,” I hissed at him. He looked at me indignantly, but he didn’t struggle. “Don’t even THINK about laying a hand on her,” I threatened.

“Or what?” he asked. My elbow was firm against his throat. Not firm enough to cut off his breath, but firm enough to threaten to do so.

“Or you’ll fucking regret it,” I saw through clenched teeth.

“I highly doubt that,” he replied with a smirk.

“She’s engaged,” I told him.

“But not to you,” he countered, his tone amused.

His words hit me hard. But I refused to show Sebastian that. There was more beneath the surface of his words.

“Kindly step down and let’s talk about this like gentlemen,” Sebastian said.

“You’re no gentle

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 392: A Call From Cam

Dillon’s POV I didn’t hear from Cassandra for a couple of days. That had me concerned. She’d liked my picture on Instagram, then nothing. Radio silence. I sent her a few texts but she didn’t reply. I tried not to read too much into it. She was probably just busy trying to nail down a location for the new store. I thought about reaching out to Jordyn, but that felt sort of strange, like I was checking up on them. “Dill?” Laura’s voice rang through the hall. “Can you come help me with the rug?” I went into the living room and stopped dead in my tracks. Laura had asked me to step out while she and the delivery men arranged all the stuff that had arrived earlier that morning. I had protested, since Laura’s leg wasn’t entirely healed and she still had a small cast on. But she insisted that she wasn’t going to move a thing. “That’s what these wonderful, strong men are for,” she’d winked at the men.

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 391: Morning Song

Dillon’s POV I wasn’t great. I botched a couple of chords and forgot a few words at the start. But halfway in, I sort of found my stride. Laura had been right, it was like riding a bike. My fingers worked on muscle memory, transitioning quickly between chords. I was rusty, but I didn’t totally suck. Laura sat beside me, singing along with me. We’d chosen a cover of a popular song, hoping the audience would get behind it. They did. I glanced up once or twice and saw approving looks and nods. Holy shit. I was doing it. I was actually performing. I caught Laura’s eye several times during the song. She was smiling from ear to ear, her hair falling over her shoulder. She had a lovely voice. Not amazing, but clear and on key. By the time the song was winding down, I was really glad that she’d forced me to do this. I felt like something inside of me clicked when I was up there. Like

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 390: Milly’s

Dillon’s POV Laura and I walked into Milly’s, my guitar strapped around my chest. It was packed. Like, literally packed, which caused me to stop dead in my tracks. “No way,” I said, shaking my head. “I can’t do this.” I’d resurrected one of my graphic band t-shirts from the storage bin for this. It had been so long since I’d worn it. It had been my favorite shirt at one time. So much so, that it was almost thread bare. Laura was wearing a sparkly top with a shit ton of blue eyeshadow. It was her ‘rocker’ look, and I remembered it well for our short marriage. At the time, she’d loved going out to concerts to see live music. Honestly, she looked like no time had passed at all. “Dillon! Laura!” I looked over to see Stella and Cameron, seated at a small table towards the front of the room. They waved at us. “What are they doing here?” I asked, surprised to see them. “I called in your groupies,” Lau

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 389: Re-Modeling

Dillon’s POV “The house is NOT haunted,” Laura said, rolling her eyes. “Outdated and drafty, yes. But haunted? No.” We were sitting outside on the veranda at the estate. Laura had offered to come over to help me with some redecorating. I wanted to get some of it done before Cassandra came back from Paris to surprise her. The problem was, I had no idea how to redecorate. Hence, Laura. Laura had some great ideas. She suggested we take down some of the ‘stodgy’ art work on the walls and replace it with something more modern. She also suggested I redo Cass’s office, as well as the casual dining room. “That desk is a colossal eyesore,” she said, motioning at the massive desk in the office. “Let’s get something new. And don’t even get me started on the rug in the living room. It literally looks like a rich old man lived here.”“That’s because one did,” I chuckled. Laura showed me several online sites where I could order som

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 388: My Final Mistake

Jordyn’s POV I left her alone for THREE minutes. It was literally THREE minutes. And in those three minutes, Sebastian had pounced on her like a fucking lion in the wild. One moment, she was heading towards the food. The next, she was on the dance floor with HIM. I couldn’t believe it. I politely excused myself from the coked out, under-age girl I was dancing with and marched right up to Cassandra and Sebastian. He flashed me a look of pure disdain when I asked to cut in. Then he flat out refused and twirled Cassandra away from me. Ugh. This man was impossible. So I followed them and demanded to cut in. He flippantly told Cassandra that it was her decision. I think he thought she’d choose him. I knew she wouldn’t. Cassandra had a torn look on her face as she lowered her arm. He saw that she’d made her decision, and it wasn’t him. I thought he might lose his shit, but to my sur

  • Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire   Chapter 387: The Illusion

Jordyn’s POV Cassandra didn’t like it when I warned her about Sebastian. I could see it on her face. She was insulted. She didn’t come right out and say it, but the moment the words came out of my mouth, I regretted them. I was insinuating that I thought she was capable of cheating on Dillon. She hated that. She fell silent, her eyes averted. Fuck. I shouldn’t have said anything. Now she was pissed at me. So my warning did nothing to help the situation. If anything, it only served to make her more defiant. I tried to back peddle by telling her she was a grown woman and I wasn’t going to tell her what to do. But it didn’t help. So I just shut my mouth. I would stay glued by her side like a magnet until we left the next morning. And I sure as hell wouldn’t say another word about it. I could tell Cassandra was confused. She was attracted to Sebastian but she didn’t want to be. I knew the feeling all too well. W
