Dillon’s POV

Cassandra retold the story to everyone as we climbed into the small airplane that would take us back to Paris. I shook my head as she laughed while she told it.

I had no idea what she’d been through at the palace, but clearly it was enough to push her over her limit. She must have had a lot of pent up anger to take the gun from me like that and shoot him.

I figured he deserved it, and I was sure the whole thing was a bit cathartic for her.

However, I was a bit concerned about what would happen if Sebastian pressed charges. As a lawyer, I knew she could be tried for attempted murder. She could claim self-defense on account of the abuse, but that might be hard to do since she’d grabbed the gun right out of my hand and she was in no immediate danger.

I ran the scenario over in my mind, trying to sort out the details and what would actually happen to her.

It seems I wasn’t the only one thinking that way, becau

Jordyn’s POV “You are worthy of love, but you don’t need it to complete you. You are a whole person without love.” I stared at my own reflection in the mirror and said the words that my therapist had told me to say every morning. Seeing Dillon and Cassandra get married had sent me straight back to therapy. Not because I was jealous or anything. I was far past pining over Cassandra, and I was honestly so very happy for them. But because it made me evaluate my own life. Cameron and Stella had each other. Dillon and Cass had each other. I had no one. Not in the romance department anyway. Don’t get me wrong, my life was fulfilling. I was killing at work, running the departments for both Hot House Flower and Petals in Bloom. And my friend group was expanding with coworkers, although Cam, Cass, and Dillon would always be my core friends. It was just that, sometimes, late at night, it was lone

Cassandra’s POV I was right, Sebastian never came after me. I knew he wouldn’t. But Dillon shrugged. “Well, at least I won’t have to testify against you the next time you get gun crazy and shoot someone.” I laughed, but we both knew there would be no next time. I cancelled all my orders with Blaire, and we never heard from any of them again. I actually sort of hoped that Sebastian was with his step-sister, as strange as that sounds. They deserved each other. Dillon asked if I wanted to move back to Paris to run Petals in Bloom. But I didn’t want to. I kept my staff on there and hired Lisa to oversee the store. She jumped at the chance to move to Paris and take on the position. I even let her stay in my villa. It was a shame to let a view like that go to waste.I did everything else from the city in the US. I didn’t need to be in Paris to run the store. I could make the designs here and have them shipped over for display

Cassandra’s POV Dillon was handsome as hell, even if his tux was a little odd. It didn’t matter. Everything about this wedding was odd. Stella walked down the aisle of the small chapel first and then took her place beside Cameron. Then it was our turn. Jordyn escorted me down the aisle and I heard him sniffle once or twice beside me. My eyes were locked on Dillon though. My Dillon. I couldn’t believe I’d even considered not marrying this man. Stella was right, there was no one on the planet who loved me more than Dillon. We still had a few issues to iron out, sure. Like whether or not Dillon wanted to live in the estate. And we had to talk through all the messes we’d made of our relationship. But none of it mattered. Because I’d never stopped loving him. All through Paris, my heart had ached for him. Which is why I’d turned to Sebastian I think. Missing Dillon had been too much. It had hurt too ba

Cassandra’s POV “How do I look?” I asked. Stella and I were in a tiny back room, which was set up like a change room with lighted mirrors. “You look perfect,” she said. I was wearing a short little dress that I’d bought as soon as we landed in Las Vegas. It was a Marilyn Monroe style, and we’d picked up the veil right here, at the chapel gift store. When Dillon announced that we weren’t actually going home, I’d been surprised. But then he’d gotten down on one knee and my surprise had turned to shock. “Cassandra,” he said. “No fancy hot air balloons this time. No lavish parties. Hell, I don’t even have your ring with me. I’m stripping that all away because it didn’t seem to work the first time anyway. So here I am, just me, on a plane somewhere over the continental USA, asking you, from the bottom of my heart, if you’ll marry me. Partly because I need to protect your crazy in court, and partly because I don’t want to wai

Dillon’s POV Jesus Christ. Oh my god. What the hell? She grabbed the gun from my hand before I even knew what was happening. She just…she just took it. The gun shot rang out through the night. A woman screamed. Sebastian fell. Holy shit. Cassandra just shot Sebastian. “That’s my fucking song,” she said, the gun still in her hand. I looked from Cassandra to Sebastian. The two women he’d come out of the house were standing over him. He was bent over. “She shot me,” I heard him say. “She shot me in the fucking leg. You stupid whore!” he hollered. I gently placed my hand over Cassandra’s and lowered the gun. “Come on,” I said. “We gotta go.” Sebastian was screaming obscenities. One of the women was dashing back towards the house. The sound of the gun had drawn out some maids, and they hovered on the front steps. I
