When Mark opened his eyes and found himself staring at Jasper's sinister glare, however, all he felt was a chill running down his spine.

His mind blanked out for a second, but he soon came to his senses. "W-What do you want?! I'm warning you, Don Kalon is my—oof!"

Jasper had punched him in the face before Mark could finish, demanding, "Where did you hide Renee?!"

The punch left Mark's cheek swelling instantly, and he was tasting blood while feeling a couple teeth loosened.

"Argh! What the hell!? When did I hide Renee?!" He glared at Jasper in turn. "Would you be able to drag me around if I still had her?!"

Just as Jasper had expected, Mark didn't know that Renee had gone missing, but Jasper seized his collar nonetheless. "I'm asking you only once—what deal did you cut with Don Kalon?"

"I… What deal? I don't know what you're talking about," Mark blurted as he avoided Jasper's eyes guiltily.

It was clearly a secret deal that couldn't be known to anyone other than the two of them.
