The Blackwood mansion was silent when Damian arrived.

The grand double doors swung open as soon as he stepped inside. His polished shoes struck the marble floor with a commanding rhythm, each step echoing through the vast space. The air itself seemed to hold its breath, as if waiting.

At the end of the long hallway, the maids were already gathered in a single line. Their uniforms were neat, their hands folded in front of them, their faces stiff like stone. Mrs. Blackwood stood beside them, her sharp eyes sweeping across the line. She had clearly given the order for them to gather before Damian’s arrival.

The maids stood still like statues, though their eyes darted nervously from one another. They knew something was wrong.

Damian’s tall frame filled the corridor as he advanced. His sharp gaze swept across the maids like a blade. His jaw was tight, and his expression unreadable.

When he reached his mother, he stopped briefly, bowing his head slightly in respect. Mrs. Blackwo

Serena walked along the hospital hallway like she was one of the nurses on duty. The smell of disinfectant filled the air. It was sharp, clean, and mixed with the faint scent of medicines. Her footsteps were soft and measured. Each time a doctor or nurse passed by, she bent her head slightly and gave a small bow, just enough to make herself look like she belonged there. She had carried out the first part of her plan perfectly. Now the second part had to be done without a single mistake. She needed a wheelchair to get Lira out of the ward. Lucky for her, she still remembered exactly where Lira’s ward was from the first day they had come to the hospital. That part would not be a problem. She kept walking gently, her steps blending with the quiet shuffle of nurses’ shoes on the polished floor. Doctors passed by carrying files. Patients moved slowly with drips attached to their arms. Serena lowered her head and passed them like a shadow. She knew she was close to the storeroom whe

  • Divorcing Mr CEO    The perfect disguise

The next morning shone beautifully over the Blackwood mansion. The golden sunlight slipped through the large glass windows, spilling across the polished marble floor and lighting up the dining room. Everything sparkled in the brightness, from the silver cutlery neatly arranged on the long table to the crystal cups that shimmered like diamonds. The sweet smell of pancake and coffee filled the air, mixing with the quiet sound of soft morning music playing in the background. At the table, Harold sat at the head seat, calmly eating while his eyes moved between Serena and their son, Max. As for Serena, she was dressed in a silk robe, looking peaceful as she sliced her pancake slowly, but Harold’s eyes stayed on her every move. Something about her lately didn’t sit right with him. He couldn’t tell what she was hiding, but he could feel something dark in her silence. Max, sitting opposite his mother, swung his legs playfully under the table as he spooned his food into his mou

  • Divorcing Mr CEO    Silent rage

The sky closed over the Blackwood mansion as night fell. Darkness wrapped the house like a heavy blanket. Inside, the chandeliers hung quiet and pale. The lamps gave soft pools of light. The room smelled faintly of old wood and warm tea. The night was calm, but it felt full of waiting. In the living room, the TV played an advertisement. Bright images moved across the screen. Serena sat on the couch with her son, Max.She scrolled her phone without really seeing it. While, Max had his tab in his hands. He was playing Subway Surfers and his fingers tapped fast. When Max won a level, he giggled and looked up at Serena with a face that was small and bold. “Mum,” he asked, his voice was curious and plain, “what happened to Uncle Damian’s wife?.... is it true she was attacked by someone”At that, Serena’s heart jumped. She looked at him and felt a sudden heat in her chest. The question came from him plainly, without thinking. He said things he did not always say. He sounded bold and worried

The steady beeping of the machine filled the quiet hospital ward. Slow, steady, and heavy, it sounded like a clock ticking against the silence. Each beat reminded Eloise of the fragile line that kept Lira alive. Lira lay on the bed, with her face pale and drained of color. Her lips were dry, cracked from the air of the hospital. Her chest rose and fell only with the help of the oxygen flowing gently through the tubes connected to her nose. And a white sheet covered her body, neat and undisturbed, as if any slight movement could break her apart. Eloise sat close to the bed, with her body being tense, and her eyes fixing on her. She had not looked away for hours. Every second, her heart carried fear, and her mind kept asking the questions: When will she wake up? Where was Damian? Why had he left at such a time? Her fingers twisted restlessly on her lap as she leaned closer, watching the faint movement of Lira’s chest. The machine beside the bed blinked with green lights, givi

  • Divorcing Mr CEO    Echoes of accusation

The news had already spread across the city, and everyone was talking about it. The famous actress, Lira Blackwood, had been unconscious on a sick bed for some days. People whispered about her, some fans pitied her, praying she would recover, while others mocked her, calling it karma for the life she lived. But no matter what anyone said, the truth remained, Lira Blackwood was fighting for her life. Far away, inside Leo’s apartment, he had just returned to the city after being away for some time. He was lying on his bed, scrolling lazily through his phone when the news post appeared before his eyes. The headline hit him like lightning. "Lira Blackwood, unconscious after sudden attack." Leo sat up at once, his breath catching. “No… no way,” he muttered, staring hard at the screen. “Lira’s life can’t be in danger… this has to be fake.” But even as he said it, his chest tightened. His fingers shook and he quickly dialed her number. The phone rang once, twice, but no one p

  • Divorcing Mr CEO    Thread of Suspicion

The morning sunlight streamed through the tall crystal windows, spilling gold across the marble floor. The glass glittered as the sun climbed higher, filling the dining hall with warmth and calm silence. On the long table, plates were filled with fluffy pancakes topped with syrup, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and roasted chicken. A jug of fresh orange juice sat beside steaming cups of coffee, completing the rich breakfast. Serena sat gracefully at one end of the table, across from her son Max and Harold. She held her fork lightly, her movements were elegant. As she took a bite from her food, a smile crept slowly onto her lips and lingered. She tried to mask it, but the satisfaction inside her heart could not be hidden. She had succeeded, finally, things were working out the way she wanted. No one would ever discover the real cause of Lira’s sickness. She chewed silently, savoring both the food and her secret. Harold, who was cutting into his roasted chicken, paused mid-m
