I went to work after my talk with Giulia. I felt conflicted on what to do because she was my friend and at the same time, she wasn’t thinking about what Rafael wanted.

While her boyfriend was the least of my concerns, I was worried for her and where their relationship was heading because they weren’t on the same page. I loved her and I knew from the start that she was struggling to accept life in the mafia.

I kind of thought she had gotten over it, but I realized how naïve I had been to believe such a thing. She was against it from the start. There is no way she had magically come to affect the kind of life we lived.

It was sad because if she didn’t agree with Raffa in terms of lifestyle and if one of them didn’t compromise, they sadly weren’t going to last.

So sad to see their relationship deteriorate in such a way when they had been so in love at the beginning.

To think all those issues had been brought about by a woman they both had never met. All the Irish princess had to do was

Raffa looked like shit when he came over to our house. Emilio had been relaxing for the past few weeks since the Russian mafia boss wasn’t even in the country. With the other two mafia bosses eliminated, there was no chaos or confusion in Italy. Things had settled down well, and everyone was doing their due diligence. I would have loved to meet the godfather, but Emilio told me he was private, elusive, and an introvert. He didn’t want to come over for dinner, which was understandable. He was single and had offered to marry the Irish princess, but she explicitly stated that she wasn’t someone to be pawned off to numerous men. She only wanted one man, and if she couldn’t have him, she didn’t want anyone else. Her father insisted that she didn’t marry someone out of obligation but out of love. I didn’t understand how she could’ve fallen in love with Raffa just by seeing him in photos and videos. That was mostly sexual attraction and infatuation. Once she got what she wanted, and she fi

  • Don Emilio's Redemption   Not Comfortable

We were back in Italy, and Lev was back in Russia as far as we knew. He told me I wouldn’t see him in the near future, which I assumed was because I ran away after he professed his attraction for me. He must have felt intimidated by how much Emilio beat him up. He probably didn’t expect our bond to be that strong, but it was. We respected and loved one another, and it scared him. He thought he would come and get between us.Emilio didn’t have any empathy or emotion when it came to other people. But when it came to me, he showed me his undying dedication. He was able to get out of a war, just to come and keep me safe from a man like Lev.He would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him. Emilio was winning the war with the Godfather. whose name I had just learned was Antonio. Emilio liked to keep all the details of working with the godfather to himself because he claimed the man was just as dangerous as him.But if Lev knew who he was, then he wasn’t as elusive as he would

  • Don Emilio's Redemption   My Forever

With the dirt I had on Lev’s victim, I was able to coerce him into accepting his medical bills to be paid and nothing else. Sometimes I felt bad for doing something like that, but then snapped out of it when I realized some victims were not good people. My investigation has uncovered the fact that the same man who had victimized Lev had also targeted other rich men and forced them to pay hefty fees. He did that to people for a living. It was disgusting to say the least.“Thank you for this. Without you, I would have spent a lot of money.” He said.“Don’t thank me. I don’t even like you one bit. I did this because it’s my job.”“And you’re good at it, so accept my gratitude. I probably would have paid a lot of money to that person.” He stated.I was at least glad that it hadn’t been a set-up. For a moment, I had begun to think that maybe that madman had been paid by Lev to orchestrate the whole thing so that I would go to New York.I was surprised when I was proved wrong. At least he d

Emilio was on the first flight to New York as soon as he could. He took his private jet to come and meet me. As soon as he saw me, he was hit with relief. “I can’t believe that bastard had the audacity to drag you out here on your own when he knew I was busy. What does he want with you anyway? He hasn’t tried to take your life, and I can’t think of anything else he could want.”“Maybe he’s just using me to put fear in you. He just wants you to be scared and to mess with your mind so that you will not be able to do anything effectively. I think it’s working. He made you drop everything so you could come and be with me.”Milo ran his hand over his face because he knew I was telling the truth. All this was happening because Lev wanted to mess with our heads and make us wonder what he was planning next.“I know. I’m going to kill him the first chance I get. This is fucking ridiculous.” He said.“What do the Irish people have to say about this?” I asked. “Have they agreed to be in your co

  • Don Emilio's Redemption   In New York

Lev hadn’t just assaulted a man. He had put him in the hospital with a broken jaw and ribs. The injuries were very serious, and I wondered what the man could have said to trigger such a violent reaction. The man was suing for twenty million dollars in damages. It was a hassle to even handle the case, but it would be fairly easy.I talked to the man, and he wanted nothing to do with Lev. He hated him with all his heart and believed Lev deserved the worst. There was no negotiation with a man like that.I refused to bail Lev out for a few hours so he would remain in jail. When I finally pulled some strings to get him out, he was glaring at me the entire time.“I spent almost two days in jail. You got here a long time ago. Why didn’t you come to take me out of jail immediately?” He asked.I shrugged while fighting a smile.“Stay away from trouble. The man I am negotiating with is already a hassle. I really don’t want more problems. Do you hear me?” I asked.“I hear you.”“Take me to dinne
