Everytime I recall how I got knocked out by Elettra, my body vibrates with tension and anxiety.

It literally has me swallowing multiple times to stay calm.

My body aches with pain–one that comes from sitting in bed for too long. My head is bandaged and I can tell from the highlights of white material on either side of my face. And the clotting of pain at the back of my head tells me how bad I was hit.

I don't know how long I'd been out, but that wasn't the problem.

The main problem was Elettra.

Where did she go?

Who was with her?

Was she able to escape?

These questions surge through my mind, making my heartbeat increase, resonating with the panic travelling through my veins.

I should have known she was up to something, I should have been smart enough to decode it!

The thought of her fooling me makes me feel incompetent, and further makes me feel embarrassed.

And I know the Don won't spare me for my mistakes. He trusted me to keep watching and always be alert, but I failes miserably

Ray parallel parks outside the restaurant, and I stare out the window with a frown. I had been so caught up with finding Elettra that I had to postpone my visit to the Bells, but here I am. My eyes scan the details of the building, noting the guards standing besides the silver poles on either side of the glass entrance with yellow bells hanging on them. Plopping out of the car, I adjust the coat I'm wearing–still black but it has sprinkles of glitter on it. I mean, just because I am a criminal doesn't mean I should look like it. Plus, I have to act like every other customer, owing to the fact that….“Restaurant's closed! Everyone out!” Ivan barks behind me, disrupting my thoughts. The eyes of everyone in the room moves towards the door, the room breaking out in soft murmurs as they ignored and continued with their food.I make my way through the space, circling round tables, ignoring the gazes of the customers. The walls of the restaurant are lined with fancy portraits, several

My hands curl against his veiny arms, forcing it open but that's not enough for him to let me go.His cut bleeds more, his blood dripping onto my skin.I never meant to do that, it was supposed to be a flinch attack but he caught it. And now, he's holding me so tight, I feel like I'm being compressed into his skin. What makes it more embarrassing is the fact that I'm only in my undies, this fucker stripped me while holding onto me!My heart burns with the need to revenge, laced with regret for wanting to kill myself.I shouldn't have thought of that, I should have thought of killing the monster who ruined my life instead. His woody manly scent lingers around my nostrils, and I hate how that sends sparks flying down my thighs.‘Hell nah Elettra, you're not getting down with this animal!’ the voice in my head reprimands and my fingers respond, as I scratch the big arms trapping me, leaving red marks.“If you think this is going to be like the consummation night where I gave in to your d

I allow Elettra sprint into the mansion, at least giving her another the chance to hide herself.Because when I get her? There's no saving from my wrath.Striding into the living room that's now filled with more people than before, the atmosphere filled with chatters and the TV noise, I wind through the area with a frown.“Guess the dirty doll is his wife.”“I had expected better taste, yunno.”“I wonder where the hell they're coming from, looking all sweaty.”My hands ball into fists, I whirl my body with a glare and that makes the taunting murmurs disappear. For a moment, I'm riling up with irritation, wondering if I should even be protecting these people, seeing as they never have anything good to say.But this isn't about them. This position is about the promise to my father–to protect his legacy, and his family, no matter what.Holding that thought, I bolt up the stairs, taking long steps that cover the distance of the passageway sooner than expected.Ignoring the bouncer outsid

My lips quiver as I shudder from the fear of losing Jason forever.Theron sniffles a scornful look, “Only because you asked nicely.” My shoulders drop with relief as my nostrils gasp for air. I watch him cock his head with arched brows but my face isn't in his line of vision.Whirling around to follow his eyes, I meet Ivan nodding at Theron, lowering his gun as he walks away from Jason whose fists are pumped. His brown hair sparkles gold in the sunlight, making him look like a hot head. I badly want to reach him and calm him down but Theron might just kill my brother.
