Chapter 17 : Her Savior

Jack ate all the food cooked by Val with so much happiness. Finally, she wished him and even cooked him delicious chicken wings as a token of love. Is it? Yes it’s definitely a token of love. ‘You forgot that she had a boyfriend?’ reminded his mind but Jack defended saying it’s her ex. He still couldn’t believe that Val once had a boyfriend.

‘It’s all her bullshit to push me away. I'm not going to buy any of her lies’ Jack convinced himself.

It’s first time Val cooked for him and it’s damn delicious. He ate to the last bite, cleaned the kitchen and washed the dishes before starting his work.

While opening his laptop, Jack remembered their conversation earlier and couldn’t help smiling. ‘How can she be so cute while saying those words? I really want to kiss her tonight and I missed her so much.’
