CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT

Sera’s POV

Marcus placed the last tray back in the box. “...and we're done,” he said, closing it up.

“Wow,” I stared at the big mason jar. “I didn't realize bees made this much honey.”

“Mmmh,” he replied. “Okay, time for the next thing on my apology to you,” he grinned.

“Oh, this was all a plan?”

“Yeah, I have so much to make up for. This is just the start.” He said it so surely, my tummy did flip backs. “Geez,” I said.

Marcus set the kader back down into the attic. “Ma’am,” he bowed slightly.

“Please, you just want to start at my ass again,” I replied, holding the jar close to me as I passed him. “Well,” he said, “I can be a gentleman and still want to stare at you.”

I climbed down quickly and waited for him in his attic. “So, you're not gonna tell me what's next? Or do I have to beg.”

He opened the door to his room. “Up next, is waffles.”

My tummy chose that point to grumble at the mention of food. “Sorry,” I apologized, my face hot. “I did not eat breakfast.”

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER SIXTY

CHAPTER SIXTYDylan's POVI walked into the training facility alone. Naomi had to go get someone important, and I decided not to wait for her. If I was going to win the next games, I had to practice.A few guys were playing already. “Annyeonghaseyo,” I greeted.“Annyeonghaseyo,” they replied. I settled down into the chair and started the game.“jeo salam-i migug-in-ingayo?” I heard one ask the other if I was the American in their language. I wondered if they knew I could understand, but I ignored them.“ne, maj-ayo. geuga ije silbeojeudo mos igindago deul-eoss-eoyo,” the second one replied, laughing. “migug-eneun dodaeche eotteon hyeongpyeon-eobsneun chaempieondeul-i issneun geoya?”My hands fisted into a ball. How dare they call me a trashy champion? Why would they even think that?“gyesoghaeseo geue daehae iyagihamyeon dangsin-eul bagsalnael geos gat-eun geuleon yuhyeong-ui chaempieon,” I hissed. Their faces twisted into similar shocked expressions.“Yeah, that's rig

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

CHAPTER FIFTY-NINESERA’S POVI stepped down from the bus, the hit afternoon sun shining in my eyes. Boot camp was my favourite part of streaming, and I could not wait to start.Even though that bitch almost made me loose it.I dragged my small luggage behind me. “Hi,” I smiled at the receptionist. “I am with—”“She's with us,” I heard from behind me. Romeo and a group of my teammates were standing there, and it seemed they had already checked in.I had not seen or spoken to Romeo since that day I saw him at Agatha's house. “Thank you,” I said to the receptionist.“You're late,” Romeo said.“I had a test,” I replied, staring up at him. “How is everyone?”He bit his lips. “That's what it is?”“What are you talking about?” I asked, my Express blank.“Sera, it's not what you think,” he sighed, taking my bag from me. “Agatha is—”“I do not care, Romeo. I genuinely don't.”Something in my gaze must have gotten to him. “Great, well then I should tell you what's been

CHAPTER FIFTY EIGHTAGATHA’S POVCause Tonight's gonna be a good night. Tonight's gonna be a good night…The music floated in my house as I dressed up, bobbing my head along to it. I applied my gloss, then straightened my suit. “Alexa,” I called, “turn music off.”“You look good,” I said, staring at my reflection in the mirror. Many might think I was shallow, but being a woman in esports and being a coach? I had to be cutthroat.I stepped out of my house. There was a small box in front of my door. “What is this?” I said, bending down to pick it up.“For Miss Agatha,” was all the note said.I glanced at my wrist watch. I was meant to talk to the new trainees, but I still had a full hour before I had to see them. I took the box inside, humming beneath my breath.I grabbed a small blade. Maybe this was a gift from Tylson, I thought. He was so sweet.I opened the box. “Huh?”There were no gifts. Just different stacks of envelopes, all properly labeled. I lifted the first

CHAPTER FIFTY SEVENSERAPHINA’S POVI knocked on Marcus's door.“It's open,” he called from inside. I had come straight from school, musing on whether to tell him Dylan had called me to threaten me.“What are you up to?” I asked, dropping my bag on one of the sofas. Marcus was in his kitchen, and I went into it.I smirked. Marcus was like a man obsessed, laying down different papers on his kitchen table. “What is all this?”He glanced up at me. “Don't you look beautiful,” he said with a sly smile. “Did you come here to seduce me?”“No,” I laughed. “I just came from school.”“Still ravenous,” he said. “This is all I have found out about Agatha and her lover.”“What are the boxes?” I asked, peering into them.“An investigative package,” he explained. “All the articles I could find, messages, disciplinary cases that were suddenly swept under the rug and students' anonymous complaints.”My mouth dropped open. “They are a lot.”“Yes,” he said. “I took it a step furthe

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER FIFTY -SIX

CHAPTER FIFTY -SIXDylan's POVI paced my room, angrily staring at the picture on the screen. How dare she talk to me in such a manner? It was Wednesday, one of the days I was free to stay indoors. The management was working me harder than ever, and I resented the reason why I had taken this deal.SeraphinaShe filled my every thought. It didn't matter who I was with; it didn't matter who I was talking to. I changed my wallpaper to a picture of both of us on our second month anniversary date, when she looked at me like I was the world.Maybe, I thought, I should call her again. The call rang and rang, yet there was no answer. After awhile, the only message I got was that the number I was calling did not exist anymore. She has blocked me.I needed to talk to her, to taunt her more, and she blocked me.I tossed my phone across the room. I had to get her out of my mind before she consumed everything. My phone rang, so I went to where it landed. “Hello?”“Dylan?” Nao

CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVESERAPHINA’S POVI walked into Marcus's place of work. “Babe?” I called out.“In the back,” I heard him answer. I went to the back, and sure enough, Marcus was there.“Inventory,” he grinned. I smirked at him. “Are you done with classes?”I nodded. “I came to say hi.”“Okay,” Marcus replied. “Just give me a second, okay? I'm about to close up.”He finished arranging the new stock, then I followed him back out to the shop. “Just a little more bookkeeping,” he said, flashing me a grin.“Take your time,” I replied. “How are you doing?”“I just received my last check from the school today,” he replied. “The last three months.”“That is amazing,” I said. “You could pay off some loans.”“You bet,” he replied, closing a book. “Okay, I am done.”I watched him silently. “Is there something on your mind? You're awfully quiet,” Marcus noticed.“No, well. There is nothing,” I answered. I really did not want to talk about esports with him.“I have someth
