CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

Sera’s POV.

“Professor Curtis, can I speak to you for a moment please?”” I began, pushing the door open.

My algebra’s professor's neck snapped up so hard as he stared at me. “Miss Kane, as you can clearly see, I am occupied.”

I felt my face heat. “Oh I am so sorry, I wasn't aware anyone was in here,” I apologized to him and the woman that was sat down on the seat. A girl was with them and she stared at me with so much disdain but I ignored her. “What I have to say would not take such a long time please,” I cried.

“Sure,” Curtis removed his glasses, wiping them. “Sit down there and wait your turn,” he pointed to the bench.

“Surely this is not a conversation that should be had infront of third parties,” the woman cried out. “Young lady please leave.”

“I have asked my student to stay, and Madam, this conversation should be had infront of the school biard. Your daughter was caught with naritics, high during classes. Do you know what it could mean?”

CHAPTER FORTY-SIX Sera’s POVThe next days are slow, as I focused on attending classes and gaming. Luckily for me, Agatha is missing from all our trainings, so I actually had fun with my teammates. Campus settled beautifully into the fall and Christmas was already around the corner.Soon, exams would start and I was already feeling like I had gotten back on my academics at a nice pace. Jennifer still blew up my phone about what I approached her for, but ignoring her was easier this time. I had to find another way to get the money for Marcus, but first, I needed that extra credit. After a rough day of school, I walked down the lobby leading to the cafeteria, when something caught my eye. “Hmmm,” I whispered, stopping in front of the flyer. “What is this?”I tore it off and brought it closer to my face. “Special study groups,” I read, skimming through the words. “Only at night, in the renovated library.”“Well that's suspicious,” I said to myself. The renivated library was not open to

CHAPTER FORTY-FOURSera’s POVI sat down with my tray of food, badly needing the nutrition. School had been tough today, with mid term tests coming up. My phone rang and I ignored it. Jennifer had called me a couple of times, but I needed to do this on my own time.I bit into my burger, pulling out my note book. There was going to be an important quiz in algebra class and I couldn't afford to miss it. My phone rang again so I glanced at it, picking up the call immediately I saw who it was from.“Hello, Coco?”“Miss Kane,” Coco Kelce cried. “You're the only person I could call. Please come, I need help.” Something broke in the background and Coco went in a rampage of Spanish curses.“What is going on?”“Marcus,” Coco replied, her voice strained. “He wants to see you.”“I am in my way.”I hung up the call and quickly finished my meal, my open book untouched. What was going on? Why did Coco sound so stressed?Break finished faster than I expected and soon, I saw myself in class. The lect

CHAPTER FORTY-THREENaomi’s POVThe green silk nightdress I had chosen to wear tonight complimented my skin. I sat down on the soft vanity chair and let my hair down. I looked absolutely radiant, the candle light casting dark shadows across my skin. The brush was already out in the dresser, so I picked it up, brushing my hair in short strokes.“Mmmmmm,” a hand wrapped around my waist from behind. “You look so stunning right now,” he mumbled, placing a kiss on my neck that made me shiver to my toes. “How do you manage to look so beautiful?”I dropped the brush and turned to face him. “Well, I think I just have good genes,” I whispered sultry, my neck bent to meet his gaze. He dropped his head and captured my lips in a kiss and I moaned, wrapping my hands across his well toned back. “Fuck I kove kissing you,” I gasped into his mouth. “Stay here,” he mumbled, his hands running down her sides. “Stay with me.”“Dylan,” I groaned when his hands went underneath my gown and up my thighs, “yo

You're in a brace.”His eyes flew open and found my face. “Seraphina,” he said dryly. “What happened?”I started sobbing. “It is all my fault. We should have never gone out, why did I expect to have a good time?” I sniffled and brought out my phone. “There has been some serious smear campaigns against you Marcus. I didn't even realize.”His eyes scanned the contents of the blog I had found on my way to the hospital. “I cannot believe this,” he hissed. “How dare he?”“I don't care,” I snapped, turning my phone off. “You already have so much on your plate and I was meant to protect you from anything else. Tonight was meant to be fun.”“Sera,” Marcus croaked, his face squeezing in pain. “It is not your fault.”“Don't lie to me.”“Listen to me baby girl,” he said softly, ‘O had more fun tonight, than all mo
