INICIAR SESIÓNRAPHEAL Time and time, I drifted in and out of sleep, lost between my dreams of finally reuniting with Serafina and the nightmare of losing her forever. It was delicious yet painstaking and devastating. I missed her so much that I had lost myself. As the night deepened, the stars started to assemble and the moon eventually took the sun’s place, casting a dewy yet bright shadow on the shrine, which reflected into the room. I walked to the small winery I managed to insert in the room, hoping to grab one when someone knocked on my door. I ignored it, as I had learnt that if something remained silent long enough, people eventually understood that I wanted to be left alone. The knock came again, followed by the rustling of keys and Ruben walked in. Unfortunately, he had never been particularly good with understanding things from other perspectives. Especially mine. “Rapheal.” I didn’t look at him. My eyes only remained fixed on the photograph hanging by
RAPHEAL. One year later. For the longest time in a while, smoking had become a better part of me. It was something someone close to me used to enjoy and I thought I would incorporate the hobby, just to feel her presence. Whenever I feel down, when I need to clear my head— I always have to clear my head— or just reminisce on a lot of things. God knows I’m going crazy having to wait all day for her. As the smoke of the cigar slowly ran down my lungs, it’s hotness managed to calm my insides, although not my nearly raging heart from its devastation and emotional excruciating pain. I looked down at the mansion’s ground and almost sighed. Exactly a year since she left was my birthday. While I had preferred and even proferred to stay on my own and enjoy my company, staring at her beautiful magnificent pictures which I had used to create a shrine in my room, my mom had thought otherwise. I watched as the organizers carried the tables and chairs around to
SERAFINA The impact from the had overthrown Fratlan with such a huge force that sent him crashing to the nearby island, a place dreaded by both the living and dead. Thankfully, Rapheal had transited back to the human world, given the ripples that appeared on the river surface. Now I was left alone with the man who nearly took Rapheal’s life. He might have been sent by the realm, but he was going to have to get through me. I knew deep down I have to make sure Fratlan doesn't ever come for Rapheal again. So before he could gather more strength, I rushed to him and struck him with my powers, before sending him crashing into a tree. With super speed, I rushed and gripped him by the throat, squeezing tightly as he flailed his legs in thin air. “You dared mess with what was mine?” I demanded in rage, my eyes burning with anger. “How touching.” He croaked with a sly smile. His voice crawled beneath my skin. “Fucking answer my question!” The air aro
SERAFINAA few hours ago. Thankfully, the workers were all gone when I broke into the Dekom’s empire that night and rushed straight to Rapheal’s office. If he was truly in danger, then the office was the last place I was certain to find him. However, I could grab an access card to see him because he was most likely at the hospital. Cold sweat had nearly doused my whole body and by the time I was done with the stairs to avoid being caught on camera, I was drenched in my attire. My heart was pounding and my body trembled involuntarily in a way I couldn't control. Because I had cried all through my way there, my only functioning eye had been blurred so badly, I couldn't properly decipher between a wall and a walking space. I kept crashing into the glass walls, which was followed by the sound of a crack, and in some cases, the fragments pierced my skin and went into my body. I had no direction, no sight and no one to guide me. I was almost at the verge of givin
RAPHEAL. The sound of the clattering of metals and what seemed like chains forced my eyes open. While my vision struggled to register the strange environment, the sickening scent of blood nearly clouded my nostril faster than I could realize. There was also a faint smell of incense and carcass. “Familiar smell right?” A voice snickered. “I would have used some fragrance, but I figured that as a mafia lord, you would have gotten used to this particular scent. Trust me I had to go through a lot to recreate something you could feel safe in.” By this time, I was very sure my vision had cleared, but everything was still pitch black. “Who the hell are you?” The strange voice let out a throaty laughter. “That should be the least of your worries.” At that point, my memories came floating in and from what it seemed like, I had been kidnapped. Enraged, I tried to move my arms and legs, but they were stuck. “Who the hell are you and what do y
SERAFINA. Ciara walked into the room, balancing a tray that contained a plate of Chinese fried rice, chicken broth, fried sausages and orange juice on her both hands. On a normal day, I would have jumped on the food even before she got to my bedside, but now the sight of food makes me sick to my stomach. It reminds of those mornings when I would wake up and find Rapheal shirtless in the kitchen, making breakfast. Damnn! I missed him so much to the point of hating myself. If I could have it my own way, I would have ditched everything and gone back to him. But to what ends? I couldn’t outrun my mind that conflicted itself over the shocking discovery of being his late wife, who was killed by his dalliance. The pain was going to kill me faster than my impending condition. “Hey.” Ciara spoke softly as her weight settled on the bedside while the scent of the food wafted into my nostrils. “Can you sit up?” I shook my head before she could finish.
RAPHEAL. I don't know how much time had passed, but I had taken a certain amount of shots that made my vision hazy and legs wobbly. Despite that, it wasn't enough to drown my thoughts around what had just happened tonight. Sometimes, it only takes a few seconds for your day to be ruined.
RAPHEAL The music blasting from the club reached as far as two streets, where my driver had parked to grab some pills for me. From the loudness, I figured my destination would be very full. Shortly after, as I casually slided through my ipad, my driver returned and handed me the substance wh
SERAFINA After my three fids training under Marionette– approximately six months– undergoing all sort of torture and handling a few trial missions, I was finally given my first official mission. Rapheal Dekoms, Ropp’s most eligible widower, was feared in power yet fatally vulnerable to be
RAPHEAL. I pushed through the tall frames of the trees, running to wherever my feet carried me. My heart pounded in my chest and my lungs felt so tired. My vision was blurry and stung hard. Given the darkness that eluded the forest, it all felt hopeless. Screeching cries echoed around me, incr
