Interference

Judith’s face drew tight. Thunder and lightning streaked the sky outside and it began raining. This was her magic that she used on a permanent basis to scare the people of Windley. “Can you elaborate as to why you are seeking Meryl?” All her plans were going to go down the drains. Her stepdaughter was always a thorn in her eyes. And now this man. What was it that she had done for these men to come and seek her so urgently? 

Lord Alex fumed at Brishor but the man’s personality was so intimidating that instead of confronting him, he turned to look at Judith and said, “I would like to have a private audience with Meryl!” 

Judith was already so peeved at this intrusion that she said, “Yes, m’lord.” She turned to see Patsy who was standing in the corner, completely confused and shivering while wondering what punishment Judith would give to her lady now.
