Aleksandra’s POV

A man walked up to her, looking confused as he tried to calm her down. His eyes scanned the area, then landed on me. He froze, his face paling as if he’d seen a ghost.

Because the man standing in front of me was Peter.

My Peter. The man who had promised me the world, who told me I was different, special, and that he wanted a future with me.

His face went white when our eyes met, like he’d seen a ghost. He quickly turned to the brunette, murmuring, “Rebecca, please, calm down…”

His wife.

The ground disappeared beneath me. My breath caught in my throat, my fingers trembling from the icy stab of betrayal. The pain was sharp and horribly familiar—a cruel déjà vu.

Leo. Another man. Another lie.

But this time, I wasn’t going to shatter.

No. This time, I would burn.

Rebecca was fuming. “Don’t you dare try to shut me up,” she snapped at Peter. “I saw your conversations with her on your phone—your messages about meeting up, and the photos.”

Peter’s reply was so smooth, so confident, that if I hadn’t known the truth, I might have believed him.

“Honey, Alexandra is a painter. I contacted her to commission your portrait for your birthday.” He turned to me, desperation flickering in his blue eyes. “Right, Alexandra?”

He had lied to me for two months, showering me with promises. Now, he expected me to back him up, as if I were really his dirty little secret.

But I had played along and left quietly once before—with Leo. Never again.

“No, that’s not true,” I said firmly, catching Samantha’s approving nod. “Your husband has been pursuing me without ever mentioning that he’s married. He dated me and made endless promises about our future.”

Rebecca slapped Peter hard across the face, leaving a red imprint on his cheek. “Asshole! I hate you. My dad was right when he warned me you’re a piece of crap. And you are.”

“Becca, honey, calm down! She’s lying. I’ve never dated her. She’s obsessed with me, but I never cheated on you. I love only you!” He tried to convince her, his voice dripping with fake sincerity.

“I want a divorce,” Rebecca shouted, then stormed out of the café.

Peter turned to me, hissing bitterly, “You ruined my life,” before following his wife.

Samantha bit into her sandwich, shaking her head. “Quite the dramatic celebration we had, sis. Seems like you’re talented at attracting drama.”

I sat there, my dress and hair soaked from Rebecca’s water, and downed a glass of champagne. I escaped a cheater in the werewolf world only to find another one in the human world. Just great.

One year had passed, yet like a cruel déjà vu, I was betrayed all over again—comforted only by Samantha’s warm hug.

Later, back in my apartment, my chest tightened. Peter’s lies hurt me to the core; I had truly believed I’d found love, a happy ending with him. But suddenly, memories of Leo’s betrayal came flooding back, like a bandage torn from an old wound.

I grabbed my brushes and canvas, pouring all my pain, sadness, and anger into the painting. Dark strokes formed a forest, and in the center, I painted a white wolf howling at the moon. Somehow, I imagined it was my wolf, even though I had none.

Today, I didn’t just have my mended heart broken again—I understood something simple and liberating: I don’t need a man to complete me. I love my sister, my art, Arabella, and myself. And for now, that is enough.

I set down my brush, staring at the white wolf on the canvas—its howl raw, defiant, and free. In its eyes, I saw my own reflection, fierce and unbroken. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I was no longer painting my pain, but my rebirth.

Aleksandra’s POV (Lexy’s POV changed to Aleksandra’s POV from this chapter onwards)I sat outside my favourite small café, waiting for my sister, Samantha. It wasn’t fancy, but it was cozy, with soft cushioned chairs, the comforting smell of fresh coffee, and food so delicious. The weather was perfect, blue sky, not a single cloud in sight, and my mood mirrored it. This past year had been tough, but Samantha and my friend from art school, Arabella, had been my anchors, my biggest support and motivation. I spotted Samantha walking towards me, looking stunning in her yellow sundress, moving with her usual grace. She enveloped me in a warm hug before sitting down. “Hi, sis! How are you doing?” I grinned from ear to ear. “My painting just sold for 10k! Arabella took it to a charity auction to raise money for the local orphanage.” “That’s marvellous news!” Samantha exclaimed. “We should celebrate!”

One Year Later Leo’s POV The Omega leaned too far as she poured my coffee, the deep cut of her blouse leaving little to the imagination—her breasts nearly spill out as if begging for attention. “Do you need anything else, Alpha?” she asked, her voice dripping with seduction, every syllable laced with unspoken invitation. “No, thank you…” “Joanna,” she added, lowering herself again in a bow meant to tease. “Thank you, Joanna. You may leave,” I said curtly, forcing my gaze away as she sauntered off, her hips swaying far too deliberately. Her dress was short—obscenely short for a servant—barely covering her bottom. I would need to speak with Mirabel about the Omegas’ uniforms. Lately, every one of them seemed dressed to provoke rather than serve. I rubbed my face with both hands and let out a heavy sigh. A year had passed since I became Alpha, and yet… nothing had changed.

Leo’s POVI stood frozen, watching Lexy walk away, every step she took carving into my chest like a blade. My legs wouldn’t move. My mouth wouldn’t form the words to stop her. I was a coward, drowning in guilt and the unbearable pain of rejection. The look in her eyes—gods, that look. Betrayal, hurt, disbelief. That agony would haunt me for the rest of my life. I had lost her—my Lexy. My soul. My fated mate. The one I was supposed to love, protect, and cherish until my last breath. Instead, I had crushed her.I hated myself. And even more, I hated the bitch who dragged me into this nightmare—Mirabel.A firm hand landed on my shoulder, snapping me out of my spiral. My father.“Easy, boy,” he hissed in a voice low enough only for me to hear. “You made your bed. Now lie in it. Deal with the consequences.”I wanted to snarl at him, to tell him to leave me the hell alone, but I

Lexy’s POVWith my vision blurred from tears and my legs trembling, I stumbled into my home. After climbing the stairs, I collapsed into the warmth of my bed, sobbing loudly.I was mourning my shattered dreams. My heart pounded faster and faster, my chest aching. I wanted to cry my eyes out, to scream until the pain left my body. But no sound came out.I had just poured myself a glass of water when my door flew open and my furious father and Elizabeth stormed in.“How could you?” Elizabeth shouted, her eyes blazing. “How can you be so selfish?”I was speechless. Shouldn’t she be saying this to Leo?“I did not raise an irresponsible bitch!” Elizabeth fumed, pacing around my room. “Instead of accepting his kind offer, you coldly reject him! The closeness of a fated mate strengthens the Alpha—and a stronger Alpha means a stronger pack!”“Elizabeth, it was his choice. He didn’t see me as his Luna,” I said, trying to defend myself. Her face turned red with rage. “What? Nobody wants a wolfl

  • Drawing Her Fate: Luna's Redemption   Chapter 4: Rejection

Lexy’s POVThe same Alpha wench who had shouted at me earlier was on all fours on my mate’s bed, stark naked, while he pounded into her from behind, his face twisted with lust.I froze, unable to move, my breath caught in my throat. That’s when Leo finally noticed me. His face went pale, like he had seen a ghost. He pulled out, shoved her aside, and jumped toward me—completely naked.“Lexy, let me explain! It’s not what it looks like…”“Not what it looks like?!” I screamed, tears streaming down my cheeks. “Not like you’re screwing another woman in front of me? I loved you, Leo! I trusted you!”I covered my face with trembling hands, unable to look at him. He tried to hug me, but the sparks of the mate bond—normally so warm and soothing—burned like fire, a cruel reminder that our bond meant nothing to him.“What is going on here?!” My father’s voice roared like thunder, echoing through the room.I turned to see my dad, Alpha Jacob, standing in the doorway with Elizabeth and the visitin
