And almost shut the back up when light pierced into my eyes but I stopped, realizing with absolute clarity that the light did not hurt my eyes even though they were bright enough to blind a man.

But I am not blinded by the lights. What am I now?

And Kayla? Where was she?

And then I felt it. The presence beside me. I shifted my position on the bed to see. Kayla.

She was asleep.

She can sleep?

Didn't she just call out to me in my dream. Or was that a dream at all. A revelation, maybe.

The burn in my chest became slow and liquid as I moved to my side to look into her face.

"You shouldn't be moving so soon," a voice to my right said.

I looked back over my shoulder to see Octavius standing beside my bed. I raised my brows curiously.

"You made it back. Welcome."

"You were in my... head. You were in my head just now weren't you?"

"I had to bring you back to what really matters. If you had let yourself get carried away..." He ended in a shrug.
