Anabel's POV

Finally, I found the courage to lay my cards on the table and make it clear to Rick what I wanted. And how I wanted him. I was sitting with my friend at a table in that bar, and when her guy arrived with his friend and I stood up to greet them, I saw Rick at the counter, alone and looking so miserable he seemed ready to jump off a building.

I didn't think twice - I quickly ditched my friend and the guys and went to sit at the counter beside him. It had been ages since I'd seen him, and he was even more gorgeous than before.
