"I thought the old shit had gotten to you," Vivian whispered as she stepped into the dimly lit room, her eyes never leaving the man in the corner. "Or you escaped like before. But looking at you now... it seems the old shit finally won."

Nicholas, or Drew, as the others knew him turned slowly, the faint buzz of electricity filling the silence. He reached up, peeled the mask from his face, and let it fall to the ground.

"I'd work with the devil himself if it meant getting what I want," he said coldly.

Julian’s mouth dropped. Jasper took a step back.

"You?" they said at the same time.

Vivian blinked. "You know my brother?"

Julian and Jasper exchanged confused glances. "Your brother?"

Nicholas gave a dry laugh. "You Davenports know me as Drew. Liam knew me as Drew. But my real name... is Nicholas."
