THIRD PERSON POV

Bianca’s revelation had shattered what was left of their relationship. Alaric had avoided her no matter what she did, and she spent most days crying herself to sleep.

She could feel her soul slowly dispersing. Every now and then, she could have sworn that someone was watching her. Maybe the grim reaper, and it was time she righted her wrongs and induced death early if it didn’t come as fast as it should. She was in pain every single day, her bones aching like they were melting under a fire. Living was demanding.

She had gone through every person she could think of who knew Isabella closely but got nothing. Until now, she was standing in the middle of a bar five hours away from home. She had flown down to Navellyland, a small town that he had to be in. This information cost her a lot of money, but she was glad his company could help.

Her eyes darted round the room to see him, but he was nowhere near there. Sighing, she headed to the bartender and requested water.

THIRD PERSON POVToday was Bianca’s birthday, and as she turned on the bed, her mind was already made up. She wasn't going to celebrate it. It might be her last one, and it would be better if she didn’t remind them of the doom that loomed over their heads like a rain threatening to pour.A soft knock resounded from the door, and after her low ‘come in’, the door was pushed open to reveal Isabella. She was dressed in a brown tee shirt and blue jeans. “Good morning, Mom. Are you busy? I was hoping you could follow me to get a couple of things done. I have an important meeting in a couple of hours, and I look like a wreck, " she confessed.“I can see that.” Bianca joked. She had no makeup or nails done, and even her hair looked like it was barely combed. “Alright. Give me some minutes to get dressed.” Isabella nodded, sending her a smile, and then closed the door. Even though Bianca felt a little tired, she would never turn down the chance to get to know the mother of her future grandk

VALERIA’S POVThere it stood, my dream cloth line. A satisfactory feeling settled deep within me as the car drove into the parkway, and I gently pushed the door open. It was tucked away on a quiet street with no sign outside nor a single ad in sight: just a shiny-looking door and a guard dressed in a black suit. Inside, the air was thick with wealth; every single gown on the mannequins looked like they cost more than some penthouse. They were stitched with rare diamonds. My breath caught, and I spent the next few minutes dragging in the scent of richness. Then I saw her, one of the sales girls who had had bun up in a slick and held this judgmental face. Her eyes were glued to me as though she already knew I didn’t belong there. Thanks to what I was putting on. But I was about to prove her wrong.Picking up a clutch, I turned my head and caught her whispering something to the other sales girl who had her sleek black hair falling off her shoulders. And I watched them laugh.A laugh I

VALERIA’S POVBy the time Chris’s eyelids fluttered open, I was already staring at him like I had been for the past ten minutes. His facial features weren't bad, which meant our child would look good. Yes, I could do better than him, given my beautiful face and banging body. But whenever I saw Chris, I didn't see his body, only his pocket. The amount of money I could get from him, I wouldn't have to work till I die.I watched him jerk upright, clutching the sheet with his eyes widened.“Fuck, what are you staring at me for?” His tone was a bit harsh. But I flashed him a smile instead, “And good morning to you as well. First, you need a bath, and then we can talk.” He arched his brows. “Who do you think you are telling me what to do in my own goddamn house?” “The mother of your child. Now go clean up so you can stop smelling like dog poo.” I mocked and immediately held my nose while rolling my eyes. His chin tightened, and I could tell before he let out an inaudible curse and stepped

THIRD PERSON’S POVValeria was awake by the time he got back home. She was sitting on the edge, her arms folded in front of her. Her head was aching, and her wrist was still red, but she was glad she was still alive. When she had woken up ten minutes ago, she had searched every part of her to see if they slit open her stomach or inject her with a fluid. But she found nothing. Not only that, but she searched for her bag, too, but it was missing, and it had her phone in it.Fuck, she didn’t know what was happening in the outside world.“I see you are back.” She let out weakly, a smug smile on the second she watched the door open.If she was here, unarmed, it only meant her plan had succeeded. Everyone knew.“What the hell are you doing in my room?” He seethed. “Get out!” Chris‘s head reeled with rage and confusion as he staggered towards the bed. He had had the best four hours of his life. The hoe he chose had let him fuck her for two hours straight, even when she was in pain and blee

CHRIS’S POVThat bitch ruined everything for me. That fucking wench. I grunted as I pushed the door open. Jessica stirred in her sleep and slowly drifted her eyes apart.“You are back.” She let out, sitting up. She hadn't seen me in days, and she knew better than to call me. My phone was off-limits to my hoes. Nothing but bodies kept me warm. After all, they were with me for my money.Other females would have been annoyed that I didn't let them off the property, but not her. In fact, she was more than pleased that accommodation was off her list, her words, not mine. But it was only a matter of time before I replaced her with someone else or found another use for her.I didn’t answer as I slid off my shirt and then my pants. “Take off that ugly shirt.” I snapped and watched her expression fall before her trembling fingers pulled the white shirt off. Her boobs sprung open. She had only a thong on—a blue one.“Leave that on,” I ordered the moment her fingers trailed lower. “Ass up.”

THIRD’S PERSON’S POVThe air in the basement was so thick. Valeria had no idea how long had passed since she had been there, but what she knew was that she was about to starve to death. Her eyes were sore from the unending tears, and even her throat wasn't spared from the pain that came from screaming for help. She sat still on the chair, tired and weak, with her hands tied and red because of the ropes that remained strapped around the chair legs. She was badly pressed. “Help! Somebody help!” Her voice was low as she bit on her lower lip, tapping her feet against the floor, hoping it would send back the pee.“Help!” She yelled one last time before she felt the hot liquid flow down her legs to the floor. Her eyes became wet with tears again. They were monsters. Evil monsters. The room now reeked of her pee and the dried sweat that clung to her body like mud. It made her so uncomfortable. Her head dropped to the side as she swallowed the last lump of saliva she could gather. She need

THIRD PERSON’S POVThe park was alive with different colors and people. There were children moving between booths with sweets stuck to their fingers, couples walking around, holding hands, and smiling hard while the sound of music consumed the air.Alaric walked in front of them, a few inches away, as his eyes darted around in search of where to get tickets. He had never been to the park as a child, and seeing the other kids, he couldn’t help but be a bit envious of what they had. A stable family. Isabella walked beside Bianca slowly, but she didn't make it obvious.“Rollercoaster first!” Bianca announced, her eyes glued on the giant steel in the distance while excitement coursed through her voice. She had ridden those growing up with her brother, and it had been so much fun. Too bad they haven't communicated in years; by years, she meant ever since he found out she messed with the wolves and would marry them. They had seized the small company her father owned, after all, rendering

THIRD PERSON’S POV“You sure you want to sleep down there?” Isabella asked, a trace of concern in her voice. They had fully moved back into his house in Florida with Bianca today because she was stable now, but the Doctor had said her time was drawing near. Isabella’s mind was also conflicted, but she would have been lying if she had said she knew what Alaric was going through. It was one thing to have no parents, and it was another to watch your mother die.If she were in his shoes, would Isabella ever be able to survive this pain? She doubted. “Spend time with her. Who knows, death might come faster than it should?” These were the doctor's exact words before he let her go.Alaric had barely said a word to her since then, but she wasn't annoyed in the slightest. Instead, she was glad he helped her settle in her room and made sure it was cosy enough. For Alaric, that moment reminded him of when he was a child and was tucked in some nights when his mom was sober. The roles were reve

THIRD PERSON’S POVValeria stood outside the towering gate of Wolfe’s mansion, a shawl draped around her shoulders with a small bag hanging off it. She had no makeup on today and had starved herself of adequate sleep for the past few days to look the part. Two weeks had passed, and just like she thought, Chris never bothered to reach out to her. It made her wonder if the sex had been nasty or if he didnt think of her as worthy of his body. But that didn’t matter anymore because she had achieved what she wanted. His child. A ticket to the world of riches. She had frequented those places that he usually went to any time she was on her ovulation, and that night happened to be one of them. Yes, he had used protection. But he had been so careless to let it sit in the dustbin where she retrieved it and injected herself with it with the help of the doctor. The money he had given had gone to great use. Yes, she could afford to get everything now, but she wanted more. A life better than Isab
