Chapter 88: Amber

The following morning, my mother had already prepared my breakfast and the same goes for Chi-saun. It was as if the both mothers were trying to make their desired daughter happy and also compete between themselves.

“Mum, I can do all these myself.” I frowned as I wolfed the noodles she made that morning, it wasn’t even up to my satisfaction. It was as if there were more worms dining with me at each bite.

I never knew a four to five month pregnancy would turn one into a food hunter. I salivated and faced Ruby.

“Can you make me another plate?” I squeezed out a smile with my eyes urging her.

Ruby made the first step, approaching the kitchen when my mother-in-law stopped her.

“Stop right there. Have you forgotten what Chi-saun sent you?” She fired in annoyance.

“Ma’am?” Ruby looked clueless.

“I asked you to bring the duvet from my room, I feel cold.” Chi-saun said, fringing a baby-ish low voice and I snorted.

“I can make some myself.” I stood up from the chair and went over to the kitchen
