Chapter 26

My lips were still parted. I failed to utter a word despite Quinn asking me so many things. I was frozen like an iceberg while I watched Ezra walk toward me with his eyes fixed on mine.

I gulped until my thundering chest brought my senses back. I stood and walked towards the exit. I was about to run away from him when he grabbed my arms from behind; he quickly intertwined our hands together and when I tried pulling my hand, he just tightened his grip.

"Where do you think you're going?" he whispered before he carried me in a bridal style.

My heart was beating so fast, that I didn't dare to talk. I just froze, also losing my capability to resist. I was catching my breath while he was walking outside the venue until we reached his golf cart and he dropped me down in the passenger's seat.

"You can't resist now. You own me for as long as you stay here."

My jaw dropped again. "Why did you do that?"

"Because I don't wanna make another woman happy knowing that you're not."
