Chapter 47: Feelings
Kent followed Eric, smiling at the girls’ childish behavior. He threw a friendly arm around his friend’s shoulders.
“Are you fine now?” The Medjay walked over to where they stood.
Eric turned to the Medjay and answered him. “Yeah! I’m fine. Sure!”
Kent understood how Eric felt toward Diana’s past. And he realized lately his friend’s feelings for her—after all this time. He was blinded by his own attraction to Elise to even notice it. Until now…
“I really didn’t pay any attention to it, pal,” Kent murmured in a low voice.
Eric just chuckled and materialized three cans of beer by magic. He gave one to Kent and another to the Medjay.
The Medjay stared at it suspiciously until the two young foreigners drank from it. He followed suit. He spat out the beer at first. “What in the desert is this?” he asked with a scowling face.
