Chapter 49: Silly, Nitpicky Brother

Diana followed Eric until near the bank of the river. Eric sat on the ground with a scowling face. It was around mid-afternoon but the sun was still prickling hot. She materialized a huge parasol to protect them as she sat beside the silly, nitpicky red-haired guy she adored for some years now. She did not say anything but just sat there beside him.

Eric turned to her. “You can say I’m silly at times, right?” he began.

Diana just looked at him in the face without saying a word. Eric smiled to himself and looked at the lapping of the water on the river bank like something was disturbing its current. But he did not pay any attention to it.

Without his or Diana’s knowledge, monsters were born on the riverbed from a bubble, a pair of serpopards and another pair of griffins sat underneath the waters.
