Lucian's POV

Lucian breathed sharply, his fingers gripping his sword tightly. The cold air in the old temple was thick with dust and decay.

Elixir was next to him, her face serious. The weight of their fight still showed in her eyes. Her heart raced, but she stood tall, not showing any fear.

Soren struggled to rise from the rubble, wincing as he held his side. Blood stained his fingers. “That guy isn’t dead,” he muttered, scanning the dark corners. “I can feel it.”

Ewen, barely keeping his balance, nodded. “He’s watching us.”

Lucian didn’t need to say anything. He already knew.

The air felt heavy like it was waiting for something. Veylan was still alive. The cut Lucian had made showed that the creature could bleed, but that didn’t mean he would die.

The temple groaned, the stones shifting. It wasn’t just a battleground; it felt like a grave waiting for someone.

Elixir stepped forward. “We’ve got to go. If this place falls again, we won’t survive.”

Lucian looked at her, knowing

Elixir's POVLucian’s fingers shook on the handle of his sword. But he forced himself to stay calm. The moment felt heavy, like a big rock pressing on his chest. It was suffocating. Out of nowhere, his past came back, smirking at him. Its eyes looked like burning gold. You can't be here, Lucian cried out, his voice barely a whisper. The man stepped forward, slow and steady. He moved like someone who had never felt fear. And yet, here I am.Elixir’s breath caught in her throat as she took in the stranger. She didn't know him, but Lucian did. He stood stiff, his face pale in the dim torchlight.Lucian, she said softly, feeling nervous. Who is he?Lucian didn’t respond. His throat felt tight. Memories flashed in his mind, sharp and painful. He pictured blood on the stone. Screams mixing with the night air. A shadow at the end of a long hall, whispering his name. The man tilted his head, amusement shining in his golden eyes. Still quiet, just like before. His voice was smooth, almost swee

Elixir's POVElixir was breathing fast. Her heart raced as she felt the air around her. It was thick and heavy, as if something was watching her. In front of her stood a golden throne. It shined brightly even in the dim light of the torches flickering around the room. The throne seemed to call to her. Not in words. Not in whispers. But in a way that pulled at her inner self. She moved forward cautiously. Her boots barely made a sound on the shiny black stone floor. As soon as her fingers touched the arm of the throne, flames burst to life on the walls. A strange orange glow filled the room. Then she saw her.Sitting on the throne was someone who looked just like her. But it wasn’t a reflection. No, it was another Elixir. This doppelganger looked similar, but there was something off about her. She sat still and seemed to command the space around her. Her eyes were a bright gold that almost looked like they were burning. A smug smile played on her lips, as if she’d been waiting for this

Elixir's POVElixir became cold. She couldn’t take her eyes off the body that looked just like her. It sat on the throne, still as could be. Her lips were slightly parted. Her eyes were closed. Elixir thought for a moment that she was just asleep. But deep down, she knew that wasn’t true. What she was looking at was death.A twisting feeling settled in her stomach. It was a fear that gripped her heart, almost painfully. It felt so real. The details of that body were perfect. The curve of her jaw was just right. The scar on her wrist from an old training mishap was visible. Even the little strands of hair falling over her forehead looked familiar. But she was alive. How was this possible? This had to be some kind of trick. A horrible prank, maybe.Suddenly, a strong wind howled through the throne room. It carried with it a smell that reminded her of something burnt and decayed. The torches flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls.Out of the darkness, a voice broke through. It wa

Elixir's PovElixir’s heart raced as Lucian's question echoed in the still air of the temple. What did you see? he asked, his voice tense.Images flashed in her mind. Her twin's hand gripped her tightly, almost as if he was trying to pull something dark from inside her. She could hear her voice, but it felt wrong, distorted. It was like a bad dream that wouldn't fade away. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the fear. Now was not the time to share those thoughts.Lucian’s silver eyes bored into her. He studied her face as if trying to read her thoughts. “Elixir,” he said sharply. “What. Did. You. See?” She took too long to respond, and she could feel his impatience grow. He grabbed her wrist. His touch felt solid and reassuring. But it also held a strength that demanded honesty. “I need the truth.” Elixir curled her fingers into tight fists. She could share what she saw. But the words were heavy. They felt dangerous like they would cut through this fragile moment. So, she

Elixir’s POV Entry One – The Beginning of the EndIf I had known that opening my eyes would lead to a life of pain, I wouldn’t have taken my first breath.I was born into a world that already had its plans for me. Before I could walk, talk, or even understand my name, my story was written.Fate is not kind. It doesn’t ask. It doesn’t care. It just takes. And I have spent my whole life trying to escape it.They call me Elixir. A name tied to dark prophecies and death. A name that holds fear for what I might become. It’s a name cursed long before I got it.My mother never told me the truth about my birth. She looked at me with love, but also sadness. It was as if every moment together was borrowed time. I still remember how her hands shook when she touched my face. Her voice trembled when she whispered my name.“Elixir.”Like a prayer. Like a warning. She knew. She knew that one day they would come for me.And they did.I was ten the first time I felt the shadows. It was dusk, the sky

Entry Two – The Twin That Haunts MeShe left me with silence. Not the kind that settles after a long conversation, nor the quiet comfort of solitude. This was so different, an absence, a void, a space where reality had twisted and left me standing at the edge of an unimaginary scene, I did not understand. For days, I told myself she had been a trick of the light, a strange illusion born from exhaustion or fear. But the moment I closed my eyes, she was always there. Watching and Waiting. "You will understand soon enough," she said. But within me I didn't want to understand. I wanted to forget. Yet, fate does not grant mercy. On the night of my thirteenth birthday, I saw her again. The village gathered under the stars, their laughter very bright and warm, the scent of roasted meat and honey cakes filling the air. Children ran barefoot through the fields, their voices ringing with joy, and for a moment, I allowed myself to believe I was like them. Normal and Safe. Then,

Entry Three: The Men Who Bleed for MeI stumbled back, my breath seizing in my throat as the weight of the situation pressed down on me. The flame sparkled, throwing extensive shadows on the walls, but no amount of darkness could cover up what I saw. She stood there, scanning my posture and expression except for her smile. It was too knowing, too satisfied as if she had won a battle I didn’t even know I was fighting. I didn’t blink. Neither did she. The silence between us stretched, thick with invisibles, words unspoken, and the ancient. My hands clenched into fists, my nails digging into my palms as I forced myself to speak. "Who are you?" My voice came out hoarse, barely a wave. "You already know," she answered, lifting her head. "You’ve always known who I am." I shook my head. "You’re lying."Her smile widened. "Am I, she asked?" The mirror rippled as if made of water, distorting her form and warping her features. The room grew colder, and the air thinned around me. "You s

Entry Four: The Masked Man and His Lies I met him in the ruins of a forgotten world. The sky was dull gray, thick with the scent of ash and something ancient. The ground beneath me felt wrong, like I was standing on the bones of something that had once lived and still remembered. Every step I took felt like an intrusion; the earth itself wanted me gone. And then he appeared, A man in a mask, standing at the edge of the ruins, watching me as if he had been waiting forever. He did not move like other men. His presence was unsettling, quiet but heavy, like a shadow stretching where no light had touched. He wore dark robes, torn at the edges, and a mask that hid everything except his eyes. They were hollow, empty yet burning with a knowing I didn’t understand. "You came," he said. His voice was calm and unreadable as if my arrival had been inevitable. My fist tightened. "I don’t even know who you are."His head slightly lifted. "You do." I shook my head. "No, I don't." "You will," h

But deep down, where the dark thoughts lingered, I knew better.I had brought him back.Lucian was the first to react, moving in front of me, his growl low and dangerous. “That’s not him.” His voice was strained like he was pushing the words out through clenched teeth. “Whatever that is, it’s just using his face.”Soren quickly drew his blade, the moonlight glinting off it. “How is this even happening?” His voice was louder than a whisper, but the disbelief hung heavy in the air.Ewen stepped forward, his sharp gaze fixed on the fig

Knew it like I knew my own breath.Victor’s voice cut through the void, low and firm. “Do not fight it, Elixir.”Lucian’s grip on my wrist tightened. “Don’t listen to him.”I looked between them. Elixir’s POVFrigid air hit me hard as I sat up, my whole body shaking from the lingering effects of the darkness. Lucian’s hands were solid on my shoulders, keeping me from totally losing it, and I could feel his heart pounding just as fast as mine.“It’s gone,” Soren said, but there wasn’t a hint of relief in his voice, just a boatload of worry.Ewen cleaned his sword, his eyes darting around. “No body, no blood.” He ground his teeth. “That wasn’t a normal spirit.”I gulped. “That wasn’t a spirit at all…”The room went silent, heavy like a wet blanket. The truth hung in the air. He-or whatever it was pretending to be him—was connected to me. I could feel it that way the shadows stuck to me, whispering things only I could hear. It was like some sick cosmic joke.Lucian squeezed my shoulders. “We gonna go. Elixir's POVIt was dark all around me - not just dark, but like being stuck in thick mud. Each breath felt like trying to suck air through a straw, and my lungs were screaming. The darkness felt alive, sucking the air right out of me.This can't be real. Please, no.But then I saw it. Standing right there in front of me was a figure with my dad's face. It was him, no question.Think you could just get rid of me by dying, huh? The voice was soft, but it cut like ice, wrapping around me like smoke.I couldn't stop shaking. My heart was going crazy, banging against my ribs. You're not him, I choked out, my voice shaky. He's gone. His face twisted into a slow, mean smile, and his eyes... they were totally empty. • Elixir: Fated To The Three Alpha    Chapter 51: The Ghost of My Past

Elixir’s POVThe instant I walked into the war room, the heavy quiet hit me, like the air before a thunderstorm. The fire in the fireplace was jumping, casting freaky shadows on the stone walls. Lucian, Soren, and Ewen were standing around the table, looking super serious. Maps and scrolls were all over the place, but they weren't looking at them. They were staring at me.I swallowed hard. What's up?Lucian's jaw tightened. His dark eyes locked on mine, giving me the chills. Another attack happened. Not by those rogue guys this time. By something else.My stomach did a flip. Something else?Ewen crossed his arms, looking grim. Wraiths. More of them than before. And this time, they didn't just attack— He let out a sharp breath.
