Chapter 5
THREE MONTHS AGO
"Do you know who the father is?" Lydia asked Emma once they stepped out of the hospital.
"What? Oh, yeah. I do." Emma replied to her with an absent mind.
"Who is he?" Lydia asked her.
"What?"
"Who is he? I reckon you have to tell him." Lydia told her.
"Um, I….I'm not sure. I slept with some people these last few months." Emma replied to her as she averted her gaze.
Lydia frowned. Emma wasn't being truthful and she knew it.
"Emma, I know you are lying to me right now and just so you know, you gave yourself away. You have only been with one person right?" Lydia asked her
"What? Absolutely not. I just told you I can't recall. I've been with a number of people this…"
"You definitely used the word 'we' when you were talking about sex with the father before we arrived at the hospital, Emma." Lydia pointed out.
"What?"
"Yeah. And you also just told me you know who the father of the baby is but now, you are denying it and claiming to have been with 'numerous people' this past month." Lydia said to her.
"Don't quote me, please."
"But…."
"Fine. I've been with just one person this past month and yes. He is the father of the baby." Emma confessed.
Lydia released an irritated sound. Emma had no idea why she would sound so irritated but she really did not pay her any mind.
"Who is he?" Lydia asked her.
Emma knew Lydia was worried for her because they were obviously best friends but something made her unease grow. Is it okay if she actually told Lydia who the father of the baby was? Maybe Lydia would have her back. Yeah, that was possible. She just had to tell Lydia. At least one person would support her. But when she opened her mouth, something else came out.
"I'll tell you who he is later. But now, I just need to go home and rest my head. I'm having a bloody headache." Emma told her.
Emma could swear she saw something like irritation or anger flash through Lydia's eyes but she pushed it all to her imagination. There was no way Lydia would be irritated with her for not telling her who the father of the baby was. Right?
"Alright. I'll drop you home." Lydia said to her.
"Thanks. I'm really sorry we couldn't hang out like we planned." Emma told her with an apologetic voice.
"It's alright. It's not like we could actually control what happened." Lydia told her.
Emma thanked Lydia for dropping her off and walked back into her home. She collapsed against the door. She had tried keeping her composure in the presence of Lydia but she was going crazy. She was pregnant and the father of the child was someone who she knew hated her with everything he had. Not that the feeling wasn't mutual. She wished her mother was here. She wished she could tell her mother and ask for her advice on how to go on about what was now happening in her life. This wasn't the time to sulk though. She had to stand up and get back to doing what she did best.
—------------------------------------------------------
T.C hotel was one of the many hotels the Templeton's owned and also the most successful one. A lady dressed in a tight red bodycon dress walked into the hotel. Her back stiletto heels made little noise on the tiled floor. With every step, people stared at her but she never paid any attention to anybody. She was here to meet with someone. She took the elevator to the top floor where the penthouse was located. She stepped out and walked to the door, pressing the key card against the door, and walked in. A male sat on a couch and smirked when he saw what she was wearing. She really looked every bit as dangerous as she seemed.
"You came prepared." He said to her,
"You wanted sex." She told him as she dropped her purse on the arm of the sofa and zipped down her dress. She stepped away from the pile on the floor, wearing only her lingerie.
"That's what I'm here for." She told him with her hands on her waist.
The man smirked. He stood up from the couch he was seated on and did quick work of relieving himself of his clothes. She walked towards him still wearing her heels and in one swift move, he picked her up. She wrapped her legs around his torso and she grinded her hips on him. He kissed her deeply, and she moaned at the contact. This wasn't what she wanted but she would take him. Besides, he was related to her. He removed her bra and took her breasts into his mouth, kissing, pinching and pulling. They worked fast, both attaining orgasm at the same time. But the male wasn't done yet. He held her tightly by the hair.
"Now, tell me. What exactly were you and my cousin doing at the hospital?" He asked her.
She moaned against the pain to her scalp.
"Let me go." She gritted out.
"Speak first and I'll think about it. What were you guys doing at the hospital?" He asked her.
"That is none of your business." She told him.
He released her hair and laughed hard. She pushed him towards the couch and angled his cock against her pussy. They both moaned at the contact. He moved hard, rough and fast.
"Don't think this will make me forget what I asked you." He told her as he tried to suppress a moan.
She was the best pussy he had ever had. Every contact made him beg for more. Too bad she had no feelings for him. He would have used her really well and to his satisfaction.
"Less talking, more fucking." She said to him,
"You don't fucking tell me what to do." He said as he slapped her butt.
She clenched around him and released a loud moan, begging him for more. As much as he liked fucking her, there was one more thing he was after. Getting information. He stopped moving.
"What the fuck Godson?" She asked in horror as she tried moving herself on his cock but he held her in place.
"What are you doing?" She asked him.
"Give me the answer I want or your next orgasm doesn't come." He told her.
"You can't threaten me with that. I can just use my dildos." She said to him,
Godson brought her closer and asked her with a smirk.
"But your dildos do not share a blood relation with Emma, do they?"
"What do you want?" Lydia asked him.
"Why was she at the hospital?"
"The same reason every other person goes to the hospital. Now, fuck me." She told him as she tried moving.
"No, it doesn't work like that. I know there is more."
"Then ask the doctor."
"Why go through that stressful process when I have you right here? You know, if you refuse me, I can just tell Emma that you have a tracker on her." Godson said to her.
Lydia frowned. How did he know? Nobody else knew about that. Not even Emma knew that there was a tracker in her car, her phone and many other places. But how did Godson know?
"How did I know? Don't think you are the only sneaky bitch here. I can do a lot worse than you can. But I appreciate you for placing the tracker. Now, why was she at the hospital?" He asked her.
"She's pregnant." Lydia told him.
Godson laughed.
"Now, if you want the rest of the information, you are going to fuck me hard and make me cum." She said to him,
"As me or as Emma." He asked her.
"Why do you think I'm fucking you?" She asked him with a tilt of her head.
Godson liked how much of a psychopath she was. He had no idea how she was able to envision him as Emma. He and Emma were nothing alike but Lydia would take anybody that had a close relationship like being cousins or brothers or anything else as long as she could not get the real Emma.
He moved. Slowly at first, then faster, pumping into her like his life depended on it.
"Fuck, yes. Emma. Emma." She screamed out.
Godson smirked at that. The little shit still saw him as Emma? Well, it's not like he actually minded. It turned him on that she was this crazy.
—------------------------------------------------------
"I still can't believe you just gave your friend out like that." Godson said as he watched her put her clothes back on.
"Oh believe me, I wouldn't have given out that information if I did not hate the fact that she was pregnant for a scum." Lydia spat out.
"What do you mean?" Godson asked her with a relaxed expression.
He wasn't expecting much really because anybody who Emma dated happened to be scum in Lydia's eyes. Everyone except her though.
"Oh, you don't know. She's pregnant for your archenemy." Lydia said with a mocking laugh.
Godson sat forward. He was now intrigued.
"Who?"
"One of the silver brothers." Lydia said as she wore back her red dress.
Godson frowned. There were only two silver brothers and from his research one was in a stable relationship while the other….
"Brandon?" He asked with a very menacing voice.
"Ding, ding, ding. A hundred grand for the winner." Lydia said with a mocking laugh.
Godson could not believe his ears. Emma was pregnant with Brandon's child? Why couldn't it have been Kevin's, then he would be able to orchestrate their downfall. Besides, society hates anyone who would cheat on their spouse and Kevin had done it once before. They could bring him down with this.
"Oh, don't worry too much. I plan on killing the child before it's even born." Lydia said with a nonchalant shrug.
"What?"
"Don't look at me that way. I'm doing you and me both a favor. It's not like you want her to give birth to that scum's child either." She told him with a smile.
"Now listen here. Don't even think about touching Emma. She still has a major role to play in the company and if anything happens to her, I will hold you responsible. Wait till after the baby is born. I can work something out." He told her.
"So I should keep quiet and watch her parade with the vile thing in her stomach?" Lydia asked him in anger.
"Vile? You hate Brandon that much?" Godson asked her with a raised eyebrow.
The hatred in her voice was obvious and he wondered if Brandon had done anything to Lydia to warrant such hatred.
"Of course I hate him. He's been sleeping with Emma for months. And he's filling her head with nonsense so yes, yes I hate him." Lydia spat out.
"What do you mean for months? Is there something I should know?" He asked with a frown.
"How is it that I know more things about your cousin than you who always says he is keeping an eye on her?" Lydia asked him with a smirk.
Godson also gave her a smirk and said to her in a low voice.
"Perhaps, it's because I'm not obsessed with her."
Lydia saw red. She turned to him and in a menacing voice, she said
"Obsession had nothing to do with this. I have genuine feelings for Emma and I wouldn't want anybody to destroy her. I also don't want her to make bad decisions which is why I'm doing this."
Godson laughed. It was obvious to him that Lydia was obsessed with Emma but that was going to be a fight for another day. He should just let Lydia believe what she wanted to believe.
"Now, if that's all, I'll be taking my leave now. And you better do good on your word. Get rid of that vile thing or I will." She said to him and with that, she stepped out of the room.
Godson turned a glass of wine for himself as he released a loud laugh. Emma really was bad at picking them right? She had no idea that her friend was as dangerous as her family. But it wasn't like he actually cared about that. At least this gave him more leg to ensure that she ended up with Hugo. Godson hated the man but his grandfather felt the man would be a good match for Emma and Godson was going to go along with anything that would make his cousin horrible. She was a fun puppet to play with especially since she was so honest when it came to things she held dear unlike her father.
—------------------------------------------------------
"Grandfather, what is it?" Godson asked his grandfather as he stepped into the man's office.
"Emma came to me." He said to Godson as he poured a glass of whiskey for himself.
Godson stayed rooted to the ground. Nobody moved until his grandfather gave them permission to, especially after he had been the one to summon you. Godson watched his own father take a thrashing when he moved one time his grandfather had called them. He wasn't planning on making that mistake again. And besides, old man Templeton liked him now, because Godson always did what he asked.
"Yes."
"You are not curious as to how shy she would come to see me?" He asked Godson as he took a sip of the whiskey.
"You were going to tell me anyway. I figured I should wait on you." Godson replied to him.
"She doesn't want the engagement. I was glad when she came to me but then she spouted nonsense about not wanting the engagement." He told Godson.
Godson got the message clearly. Convince Emma to get married to Hugo. That was all his grandfather wanted. Emma made a huge mistake coming to their grandfather because now, there was no way she was going to be able to escape. She knew how much power their grandfather held. On second thoughts, maybe that was why she had gone to him and not Godson.
"I know what to do." Godson said to his grandfather.
"Of course you do. You wouldn't be my grandson if you didn't know what to do. Sit and have a drink with me."
Godson obeyed and took a seat opposite his grandfather as they both drank whiskey together.
Meanwhile, Emma who was at home couldn't stop the tears from pouring down her eyes. How did she get herself into this mess? How did everything turn this way? If only she had stayed where she was like her mother had requested but no, she could not just sit by and watch her mother die when there were people who could actually help. But are they really helping her now? It felt like she was sinking and there was no way to come out of the water.
Chapter 6THREE MONTHS AGO"What are we doing here?" Emma asked Godson with a frown. She had woken up tired that morning feeling tired but she knew she had to show up at work but then, Godson showed up in front of her apartment with the excuse that their grandfather wanted to talk with both of them. It wasn't really surprising to Emma. Sometimes when their grandfather summoned both of them, Godson stopped by to take her to the meeting place which was usually his home or office so Emma went with him. She thought that their grandfather wanted to talk to her regarding the engagement which she refused to go ahead with but it seems Godson had other plans. The vehicle they were in, stopped in front of a hospital."Take a look, Emma. Do you recognise this place?" He asked her."It's a hospital and it's obviously on the way to grandfather's office so yeah, I do." She replied to him.Godson tsked."Look closely. I'm sure you stopped by this place some days ago." He said to her with a raised ey
Chapter 7PRESENT DAYEmma stood looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her dress was dazzling but it wasn't something she would have picked herself if at all she was given the opportunity. It was a bit too much or maybe it was just her nerves speaking. Her engagement dress was sleeveless and had a floral lace design. It held her bust but spread from the waist down, sweeping the floor. The designer really took floor length to another level. Emma still wondered if she was making the right decision. She had doubts that this wasn't the best decision she could make. What if after everything, she loses her child and her mother? She looked outside the window. The weather looked dreary but even at that, she heard chatting and rejoicing from the guests. The hotel in which they were holding the engagement party happened to be one of the Templeton's hotels. It was one Emma had put in enough hard work to make it become what it was, now. She took in the dreary weather. Even the weather wasn't
Chapter 8"Enjoying the party?" Godson asked.Brandon turned to give him his attention. He hated people sneaking up on him especially when they were the likes of Godson. Brandon fought the urge to roll his eyes and punch Godson's face. What was he so smug about?"Seeing as you came all the way to my office to give me the invitation, I couldn't miss this." Brandon replied to him coolly."Of course you came here only because I gave you the invitation….""Um, no. That's wrong. You only delivered it individually. I had no idea we were that close. You came all the way to my office?" Brandon asked him."Ah, my apologies. You're right. Well, I hope the party is to your liking." Godson said to him."It's fairly okay. I have to say, I expected more from the Templeton's though." Brandon said to him."Oh? What exactly is not up to your expectations here?" Godson asked him."You don't really need me to spell it out for you now right?" Brandon asked him."Well, if it's not a bluff then I'm sure yo
Chapter 9"You can't use that on me forever. It will grow old at some point and you know it." Hugo said to him with mock bravery.Godson scoffed."Don't let people know of this." He said to Emma and walked out.Emma stood rooted to the ground. What just happened and why was Godson telling her not to fuck things up. Surely Godson knew the kind of person Hugo was before he and her grandfather went ahead with the engagement.Hugo released an annoyed sound and turned to Emma with eyes full of hatred. He held her shoulders in a tight grip and leaned close so she was within hearing distance and so that no one could hear what he was going to say to her. "You stay out of my business and I'll stay out of yours or your grandfather finds out that you are holding the lowest of the low in your stomach." He told her.He released his hold on her and gave her a small smile."Smile, bride. The world can't know we don't really suit each other now, can they?" He asked her with that same smile plastered
Chapter 10"Emma? Can I come in? It's Lydia.""Oh." Emma said as she breathed out a sigh of relief."Come in." She called out.Lydia opened the door and walked in with a small smile on her face."Hey.""What's up?""I couldn't find you downstairs. You k ow the party is for you right?" Lydia asked her.Emma released a tired sigh and folded her arms across her chest. She wasn't so sure the party was for her. It felt more like it was for her family than it being for her."I'm not so sure that's right. There is no way that party…..this party is for me." Emma said to her."Then who is it for?" Lydia asked her. "I don't know. My family? Godson? My grandfather? I have no idea who it's for but it certainly does not feel like a party for me." Emma said to her."So what do you plan to do then?" Lydia asked her."I don't know now. I'm not sure but it still doesnt feel right to go on with this. Do you think I should go ahead with this engagement? I men, I know my family wants this and I can hard
Chapter 11Emma munched on a dry cracker as she busied herself with her work. Due to the plans of her engagement, her work had piled up and she had to catch up with it and make any due appointments as was necessary. She was getting used to dealing with her morning sickness. Eating dry crackers really helped a lot and also drinking ginger ale helped with the nausea. Her day was already planned. Everything was supposed to go according to plan. It was going according to plan except for one little mishap."Um, Miss. Templeton?" Emma heard her assistant ask as he walked into her office. She was about to reprimand him for not knocking before entering but then she saw the look on his face. He looked conflicted but she had no idea why he would be conflicted."Is something the matter?" She asked him.He hesitated as he adjusted his tie. The move irritated her."Can you just tell what the matter is, Timothy or do I have to figure it out myself?" She asked him,her voice was laced with every bit
Chapter 12"Like I said, I came to see you and perhaps my unborn child?" He asked her with a raised eyebrow.Emma sat upright in shock. What exactly did he just say? Could it be possible that he knew? No, that wasn't possible she said to herself with a shake of her head. How will he know? The only people who knew she was pregnant happened to be no more than three but including her, four. There was no way Brandon knew she was pregnant."What did you just say?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow as she gave him a cool look. There was no need to get nervous over a speculation because she was sure Brandon had no idea that she was actually pregnant.Brandon relaxed in his chair and stared at her with a smirk plastered on his lips."You heard me clearly Emma." He said to her,"And I have no idea what you are talking about. Where the fuck did you get the idea that I would be pregnant with your child?" She asked him.Brandon laughed almost immediately after she asked him that question. She f
Chapter 13"You sure took your time in getting here." Brandon said to Emma."I came as fast as I could." She replied to him."Yeah, right." He said to her with an eyeroll.Emma released a tired sigh as she placed her bag on the nearest couch. Brandon stood next to the bar with a glass of whiskey as he observed her."So tell me exactly why you think we should talk here." He said to her as he took a sip of the whiskey."You really did not think having this talk in the office was the best decision ever, right?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow."I don't care and that's the basic truth. And I wouldn't have done that if you had just replied to my texts or answered my calls." He said to her,"And how the fuck was I supposed to know this is what you wanted to talk about? Our agreement had come to an end. There was absolutely no reason for you to contact me." She said to him,"Exactly. Which is why you should have at least sent me a message to put me in my place or something. Did it not oc
