Everything Brandon had told France when he was being held hostage, came to pass. Although his wife and child were not involved in an accident, news about his father's gambling issue became known to the public. Also, the debts his father acquired were made known to the public. He had to admit that he was extremely lucky when he found out that the news regarding his affair with the underage girl wasn't made public.

He was in his office, trying to deal with the huge blow against his own company when he received an email. He had no idea who it was from and he could not identify the address.
