God, it fills me with so much joy to have finally give. This book a befitting ending☺️ I would like to say a big thank you to my readers for putting up with me and still sticking around to read my book. SERAFINA I watched as my royal crown shattered on the floor. With it went my title, my dignity, my pride and everything I stood for as a princess or rather, used to stand for. It all still felt like a bad dream and I held onto that feeling, hoping this would be in fact, a nightmare that I would soon wake from but no, the the nearly–strangulating feel of the collar around my neck and the bitter taste of shame and disgrace that sat on my tongue were too factual and overly real to be a nightmare. SERAFINA The cold splashes of water hitting my face drew me out of the dark abyss I was previously in and my eyes batted open. Guess death wasn’t even ready to take me yet. I was face to face with those domineering and unfeeling eyes of his and a lump formed in my throat as apprehension and fear surged in my veins from being under that intentful gaze. “We have arrived.” Zahir said to me and those three words travelled deep down and settled distraughtly in my chest, rumbling around and creating an unsettled feeling. I quickly got up on my feet—I was tired and exhausted, still starved and had barely slept last night.. The day hadn’t even started to break yet. I could tell from the darkness that still loomed outside the open window high up in the room. The window was set up so high for a lot of reasons and preventing a slave escaping through it had to be at the top of the list.
