Chapter 10

Spencer\'s eyes were flushed, and his uncontrollable hands clutched Melissa\'s shoulders, \"Let you go? I have been living in endless regret for so many years! I have been living in hell because of what you did, and you expect me to let you go? Stop dreaming!\"

Melissa was so hurt by him that tears wouldn\'t stop rolling down from her eyes.

Hazel hurried over to pull Spencer away, \"Sir, please stop. You\'re hurting Ms. Melissa!\"

With those words, Spencer suddenly came back to his senses.

As if he had been electrocuted, he suddenly let go of her. A flash of regret swept across his face, then instantly switched to being cold again, \"Melissa, there\'s no escaping me. Your family owes Quincy forever!\"

  After speaking, he strode away.

Melissa was lost, and it was not until Hazel completed the discharge procedures that she recovered a little.

\"Ms. Melissa, your husband said that you are ready to leave the hospital and that the car is waiting for us outside. The formalities are all done, let\'s go home.\"

Melissa smiled sadly as left to go back home.

Could she even call it a home?

When Melissa stepped out of the hospital, Spencer suddenly leaned over and picked her up.

Melissa struggled, \"What are you doing? Let me down!\"

Spencer stopped and looked down at her coldly, \"Be honest! Otherwise, I will let the hospital kick your dad out immediately!\"

\"You!\" Melissa was extremely angry, but she couldn\'t do anything except let Spencer carry her into the car. When they finally settled in the car, they immediately left the hospital.

Spencer did not take Melissa into their house. Instead, they went to another place, probably one of his properties which was also a villa, but it was smaller than their original house.

Putting Melissa on the big bed, Spencer said coldly, \"Melissa, be honest with me, and don\'t even try to escape because you can\'t escape me.\"

Melissa couldn\'t figure out his intentions, \"Why did you bring me here? Are you going to keep me locked up in here?\"

Spencer looked at her condescendingly, \"Keep you locked up? Rather than thinking about these useless things, it\'s better to think about how to please me so that I can be kind and let you suffer less.\"

Melissa didn\'t want to say anything to him, she only pointed to the door, and said, \"Get out of here!\"

As if he was hearing a joke, Spencer sneered, \"You don\'t get it, do you? This is my house, you have no right to tell me to get out.\"

He paused, and then said, \"Everything here is mine, including you. Do you understand, Melissa?\"

Melissa looked at him, he obviously still has the same face as before, so why was she finding him so scary and hateful at this moment? She closed her eyes, lay down with her back against Spencer and stopped looking at him.

She was scared, and as she looked at Spencer more, she couldn\'t help but want to tell him the truth about what really happened ten years ago.

Spencer had suffered so much due to the incident ten years ago, and he wouldn\'t be able to bear the cruel truth in any way. However, she also couldn\'t let Spencer hurt her parents because of it.

Thinking about this, Melissa felt an endless sense of powerlessness in her heart, making her chill. She already has been living in the world for twenty-three years, and it was then that she realized what a dilemma was and struggled for the first time in her life.

Melissa felt that the current situation was the worst and felt like the gods wouldn\'t let her catch a break.

Just when Melissa\'s injury was about to heal, one day, Spencer, who hadn\'t appeared for a long time, suddenly came, and was drunk and reeking of alcohol.

Melissa was still asleep on the bed. She never expected for Spencer to pull her over, making her startled for a while.

\"You\'re sleeping so soundly,\" Spencer said as he leaned over. \"Did you forget what day it is today? How can you sleep soundly at a day like today?\"
