KIRA Kira changed into a bathing suit that she found in the bag Dimitri had packed for her and jumped into the pool. Mercifully, the pool was empty. KIRA Kira got dressed, picked up her purse and walked out. She checked her purse, she still had her wallet and the phone. Upon opening the wallet, she noticed a new credit card in it. Surprised, she checked it out. It was a top end credit card, with a note sticking on it which had a code written on it. Kira did not know what to feel about this gesture from Dimitri’s side. Anyway, he has a lot of money, if she spend even a million dollars, he won’t feel a dent in his empire, she thought scathingly as she stepped out of the hotel and walked in the crowd that was jostling the busy streets of Cape Town. Kira checked time, it was just after 9 PM. And though Kira had severe pain in her chest and stomach due to drowing, she knew she had eat something. KIRA Dimitri dropped Kira to their room and groaned at the door. Taron literally had to drag Dimitri out to go and meet the serpents. This amused Kira a lot. She was still laughing when Dimitri disappeared from view. Kira slumped in the bed and stared blankly, remembering the last few hours. They were just heaven. The phone trilled and it shocked her. She had not heard her phone’s message beep for such a long time. It was from Dimitri. “Try not to drown, alright? I would be too far away this time to protect you.” Kira read Dimitri’s message. “Umm. Can I drown in the bathtub too?” Kira replied as she went to the bathroom and filled it with water and bath salt and fragrant soaps. “Knowing you, anything is possible… :P.” Dimitri replied. So, he does not know how to use an emoji, Kira thought bemused. She undressed, and stepped in the water and covering herself with soap, she clicked a very, very seductive photo and sent it to him. “You can join me.” Kira replied, “if you can!”

DIMITRI & KIRA Dimitri came back very late that night, and by that time, Kira was asleep. He reeked of wine, whiskey and drugs but not of women. He took a quick shower and as he stepped out in his towel, he noticed Kira’s laptop on the bed. The screen was on and he saw that she was researching the Whitakers. Again! He felt angry at her, why could she not leave them be… but as his eyes fell on her beautiful, peaceful face, his anger eroded. Somehow he understood why she cannot let them be! She was curious about her heritage and it was quite understandable. “What did we find out about that girl who had supplied Rizzoli with blue wolfsbane?” Dimitri called Taron and asked. “Never seen again, boss, I have her picture though, every one is on the watch for her,” Taron assured. “And what did we find about Kira’s parents?” Dimitri asked as he sat on the bed, with his back to her sleeping form. “Nothing much.
