The council reconvened in another twenty minutes, but even before that, Kira had sent a message inside to the chairman of the council that the Whitaker clan and the La Gualias clan have come to a mutual agreement.

When Kira, Dimitri, Alan and Sharia took their seats across the table, the chairman huffed.

“So, it seems you have wasted the council’s precious time,” the chairman said as he glared at Kira particularly. “If you have to come to a mutual agreement, why did you practically beg us to listen to your plea?”

“I am sorry, chairman sir, but I think it was not a waste. It is because of your acceptance of my requests to bring us all here, my father and my husband have agreed to mutual terms,” Kira smiled.
