Serena could only smile when she heard Damien's crazy offer." Don't go crazy. Until whenever, I won't come back with you," she said, his voice trembling but steady.

The words were like a whip that ignited embers in Damien's chest. As soon as he stepped forward, his large hand instantly grabbed Serena's neck and pushed the woman's body against the wall. Serena was flabbergasted, her mouth opened with difficulty breathing, her two hands reflexively grabbed Damien's wrist.

"Are you crazy? "Shut up," she said intermittently, trying to catch his breath.

Damien's gaze was flushed red, full of blinding anger. "You are indeed a bad woman. Don't forget, your son is in my hands. Even if Tygo were really his father, he would never be able to find out where your son is."

Serena gritted her teeth, even though her body was weakening, her eyes were burning with anger. "You're a loser! You can reply to me, but my son has nothing to do with our affairs. Let him go now!" he exclaimed in a roar, though he was breathless.

Instead of letting go, Damien smiled obliviously. "Your choice is only one... give up your son, or become my second wife." The pressure sounded so cold.

Serena knew she had to think fast to get Damien to let her go. In a low voice, he said, "What do you know? Before marrying you, I slept with Tygo first."

In an instant, the choking on his neck weakened, although Damien's gaze grew sharper, like a wounded beast. Serena fell forward slightly, coughing loudly while holding onto her reddened neck.

Damien smiled bitterly, his breath heavy. He moved closer again, grabbing both of Serena's shoulders firmly. "Say! What kind of lie are you hiding from me?"

Serena smiled obliquely even though her body was shaking. "I married you not for love... but to reap your riches."

Damien was silent for a moment, a discordant smile appeared on his face. He turned around, opened the drawer, took out his wallet, and approached Serena again. He threw several pieces of paper on the floor, along with one shiny black card.

"Is it still lacking?" asked Damien sarcastically.

Serena lowered her head, staring at the scattered money and the black card that Damien used to give her when they got married. His chest felt tight, his eyes were hot. He squatted, picked them up one by one with trembling hands, and then stood looking at Damien.

"I guess... more than enough," he replied quietly, but steadily.

Damien's face hardened, not believing Serena really accepted it. "You're such a crazy woman. Evil. Until you can't judge the sincerity of someone's love."

Serena just smiled bitterly and nodded. "Yes... Because life really requires a lot of money compared to receiving the sincerity of someone's love."

Damien approached, gripping his arm tightly. His jaw hardened. "Good. Because you need money so badly..." He said, holding a pause, then continued coldly, "... work as my servant. If I'm satisfied, maybe I'll consider releasing your son."

Serena's gaze narrowed sharply, her lips trembling in emotion.

Without giving him another chance, Damien pushed his body out of the room, then closed the door hard.

Serena was silent outside, clutching the money and cards tightly. His chest shook violently, his eyes heatd. Tears pressed out, but she held them firmly. Behind his hot eyelids, there was only one promise in his heart—he would never let Damien win.

The room was full of the scent of fresh flowers and the flash of light of the photographer's camera light. Serena, with a calm face despite her sliced heart, crouched down to help tidy up the tail of the long white dress that hung behind Yonara. The dress shimmered, so perfect on the body of her stepsister who was about to marry Damien, the man who had once been her husband.

Alora, who serves as Serena's makeup artist and best friend, stood on the other side while confirming the location of Yonara's veil. From her eyes, it was clear that she was holding back the sadness—seeing that Serena, who was supposed to be in the position of a bride, was now forced to be Yonara's maid and even bridesmaid.

Before long, the door opened. Weya entered with a smile full of emotion.

"Oh baby, you're so beautiful in this white dress," she said while immediately hugging Yonara tightly.

Yonara chuckled, her voice trembling with nervousness. "Auntie, this is really thrilling. I... I'm so nervous right now."

Weya let go of the hug, looking at him lovingly. "Naturally, honey. It's your wedding day with Damien. You will be watched by many eyes, journalists will also be present. But don't worry, won't your sister accompany you later?"

Hearing that, Yonara immediately turned to Serena. She smiled cheerfully while nodding, as if proud that her brother was an escort on her happy day. Serena just raised her face for a moment and smiled faintly, holding back something that only she knew about.

"Already, Tante will wait outside. Damien has arrived."

Yonara nodded happily, her eyes shining. Weya also left with Alora and the photographer, leaving the two of them.

As soon as the door closed, Yonara approached Serena carrying a white bouquet. In a soft voice he said, "Sister... Thank you for wanting to be my bridesmaid."

Serena looked up, looking at Yonara's face. A thin smile was etched on his lips, but there was bitterness that accompanied it.

"I'm happy... you will repeat my history."

Yonara paused, her smile slowly fading. "What do you mean?" He asked, his tone changed, showing his original nature full of curiosity and a little cynical.

Serena stepped closer, her face close to Yonara's ear, then whispered in a low but piercing voice, "You'll know once you get into that rich family... "Your life is more important than the man you marry."

Yonara stiffened, not having time to ask any more questions as Alora knocked on the door and exclaimed, "Yonara, it's time! Everyone is waiting at the altar!"

Serena immediately grabbed Yonara's arm, holding her calmly as if there had never been piercing words earlier. Together, they walked out.

As soon as their feet stepped on the red carpet, the flashes of reporters' cameras flashed endlessly. The hotel's ballroom was full of invited guests, all eyes on the bride. Serena led Yonara with graceful steps, then, calmly without turning the slightest glance at Damien, she handed Yonara's hand to the man at the altar.

Damien greeted Yonara, but his eyes did not move at all from the figure of Serena standing under the altar. Today Serena looks so beautiful, so sexy in a simple but elegant maid dress.

The priest then opened his voice, beginning the sacred procession of the marriage. But between each prayer word, Damien's eyes were fixed on only one person—Serena.

In the evening, at around 9 pm, Damien and Yonara had just left the hotel after the wedding party was over.

Serena? He went out of nowhere during the wedding. Damien will give him a lesson later.

Meanwhile, Yonara seemed to be beaming when she finally officially became Damien's wife. As soon as she entered Damien's mansion, Yonara was constantly amazed by the sight of Damien's luxurious house.

"You go to the room first, I have a little business to do," Yonara nodded and went upstairs.

Damien threw himself on the couch tiredly, unbuttoned his shirt, lit his cigarette while he was about to contact Serena.

Until finally his activities stopped because Calum came with a little shaky.

"What's wrong? Who called you here? I'm tired, we'll discuss work tomorrow," Damien refused thinking if Calum came to talk about work.

"Not sir, this is the data you are asking for," Calum replied handing Damien a bundle of chocolates. Damien immediately looked at Calum and grabbed the bundle of chocolates without asking much questions.

Damien deliberately asked Calum to hide Charis from Serena for a moment in order to do a DNA test to find out the real facts.

Damien immediately read the data in the white paper which stated the accurate facts about who Charis really is.

"What? He's my son?" muttered Damien incredulously.

Inside, Yonara was already seated gracefully in front of the dressing table, as if awaiting her sister's arrival. Her body leaned casually against the large wooden cupboard beside the door, her demeanor brimming with confidence.“I’ve never fought over a man with any bitch,” Serena replied calmly, but with a subtle venom. Serena gripped her dress tightly, her fingers trembling with emotion and panic. Damien's insane request still rang in her head, making her heart beat even more erratically. Damien's continued advances only made the space shrink even further, as if even the air refused to let him in.“Stop right where you are!” Serena’s voice was firm, though she couldn’t hide the slight tremor in her voice.Damien responded with a crooked, challenging smile. “Why? Are you afraid? Aren’t you also serving Tygo out there?”Serena's gaze immediately changed, her eyes narrowing sharply, filled with cynicism and seething anger. "Watch your words," she pressed coldly, her voice almost cracking with emotion. However, Damien only grinned wider.
