Enzo's POV.

Days passed and somehow my life started feeling normal again, Gardini didn't let me off the hook so easily as we had had to keep our eyes and ears open at all times.

I think Isabella got busy with all of her pending projects she abandoned and so I heard from her less.

My father on the other hand was probably fighting his battles while I thought of wonderful ways to invest my pre wedding gift.

But then there was Sofia.

In as much as I would love to play pretend, my father was extremely cunning, that man could do anything.

He could stage a murder to look like a man accident and in this case, Sofia would be the victim.

For the past week, I've been trying to get her to talk to me, but she just keeps this cold, unresponsive face and avoids me at every single encounter.

Mrs Grossi was back now and that made it even worse, I saw less of her and whenever I asked Mrs Grossi about her, the reply was always subtle.

Something was off.
